Teresia had brought a lot of gift packages, as Hanyang had said. Dohanna looked at Teresia with suspicious eyes.

Teresia had prepared a lot of gifts for Dohanna, as if promising not to leave her alone during her honeymoon.

Teresia, with her eyes half-closed, spread her arms towards Dohanna.

“Come here, my dear.”

It was not the voice of someone who promised not to leave her alone during her honeymoon.

Teresia welcomed Dohanna with arms spread wide, not keeping her promise. Dohanna looked at her with vigilant eyes.
“Alright, did you have a good trip? Come, sit here.”

Teresia gestured towards herself, signaling for Dohanna to come sit next to her.

Dohanna looked at Teresia with a restrained expression.

“Are you upset about what happened during the wedding? Let me explain everything.”

Teresia spoke tenderly, portraying the image of a gentle middle-aged lady.

“Well, fine. I’ll listen to what you have to say.”

Dohanna arrogantly nodded and sat down next to Teresia.

“I should have explained it properly. The servants heard everything. You were firmly mistaken, weren’t you?”

Teresia acted as if she had no intentions whatsoever.

“Loosen up your expression. You seem too scared to speak. Alright, let’s talk later. Now, try unpacking these. I personally bought them for our future grandson.”

Teresia pushed gifts towards Dohanna. Dohanna tried to open the gifts, pretending to be unaffected by her actions.

All the gifts were childcare items.

Even though the gender of the baby was still unknown, everything Teresia bought was blue.

From clothes to toys, it was as if she was pressuring her to give birth to a son.

Although Teresia had no intention of keeping Dohanna’s child, whether it was a son or a daughter, it didn’t need to be revealed to others.

Teresia behaved as if she cherished Dohanna.

That way, she could avoid suspicion even if she later killed Dohanna and the child.

Dohanna’s expression while opening the gifts was utterly bland. She had no interest in childcare items.

“What’s this? All of this is childcare stuff. I don’t have anything for myself.”

Seeing Dohanna like that, Teresia lifted the corners of her mouth, as if expecting it.

“Lastly, this is a gift for our new son.”

Teresia extended an elegantly packaged box with a bright smile.

“This is currently the most popular brand among noblewomen. I had a hard time getting it for our new son.”

“Is this mine?”

“Well, it’s yours, Dohanna.”

“Oh, I see. When you said ‘new son,’ I thought you were talking about someone else, not me.”

“Hahaha. Look at this one. She’s really upset.”

Mockingly, Teresia laughed, hearing Dohanna’s cheeky remark.

“Of course, Lady DiCar Hujo’s daughter is also our new son, but you’re not a new son.”

Teresia chattered insincerely and smiled at Dohanna.

Dohanna opened the box that Teresia handed over. Untying the ribbon and opening the box revealed neatly stacked contents.

It was a bag.

“Oh, it’s quite pretty.”

Dohanna inspected the bag while holding it up.

“How do you like it? Do you like it?”

Dohanna subtly lowered her lifted corners of her mouth and responded with a poker face.

“Well, it’s pretty.”
While Dohanna was wearing a satisfied smile, the door of the meeting room swung open.

“Oh my, our baby is here.”

Teresia stood up and walked towards the door. It was a stark contrast to her quiet reception of Dohanna when they were alone.

“Mother, you came?”

The person entering the meeting room was Belliar.

“Yes, did you have a good trip?”

Teresia warmly held Belliar’s hand and walked towards her.

Dohanna, pretending not to know Teresia’s dark intentions, proudly raised her head as Belliar entered, showcasing the gifts next to her.

“Look, see how much my mother adores me.”

Though Dohanna had yet to figure out Teresia’s true intentions, to an outsider, she seemed to be a cherished daughter-in-law.

“Mother, thank you so much for the gifts. I’m really touched that you prepared so much for me and my child.”

Dohanna spoke with a slightly elevated tone compared to when she was alone with Teresia.

“Beliar, don’t be jealous. I prepared a gift for you too.”

As if trying to ease the stiffened atmosphere around Belliar, Teresia handed her a gift box.

It was the same brand and design as the one given to Dohanna.

“It’s an Ermia bag. You know it’s quite a rare design to find.”

Dohanna wondered what kind of bag Belliar received. Was it the same design as hers, or different?

As she stared at Belliar for a while, a subtle victorious smile appeared on her face.

“Hmph, what’s that? That bag is totally unimpressive.”

It was a small round bag, barely the size of a palm. Belliar’s bag, much smaller than Dohanna’s, was comically unimpressive.

“Ah, if it were me, I would have been annoyed and thrown that bag away.”

She chuckled, as if signaling for Belliar to listen.

Beliar looked at Dohanna. Seeing Dohanna’s bag, she let out a peculiar laugh.

“Thank you, Mother.”

Beliar smiled as if she genuinely liked it.

“Oh, right, I forgot to mention earlier. Now we need to clear up the misunderstanding, Dohanna.”

Teresia smiled at Dohanna, her eyes filled with disdain and mockery.

“Oh dear, that old fox! Did she plan to say this next to Beliar the whole time?”

Dohanna’s prediction was correct.

Teresia, with an innocent expression as if she knew nothing, began talking about the day of the wedding.

“I really wanted to apologize. It wasn’t my intention, but…”

“Mother, it’s really okay now. Let’s stop talking about it.”

Dohanna hurriedly tried to interrupt Teresia. However, Teresia had no intention of stopping.

“Well, you see, she thought the day of your wedding was her own wedding day.”

She giggled, clutching her belly.
“I failed to explain properly, and it seems Dohanna had a strong misconception. I don’t know how sorry I am. If Dohanna complained about you during the honeymoon, please understand with a generous heart.”

Beliar’s lips curled up in response to Teresia’s words.

Beliar had suffered a headache throughout the honeymoon because of Dohanna. She, who wanted to relax, had to constantly deal with Dohanna due to the nanny’s incessant demands.

This incident was an opportunity for her to retaliate against the annoying Dohanna. Beliar seized the chance and spoke in a subdued voice.

“Oh… so that’s why you were wearing that ridiculous white dress?”

Beliar chuckled, and Dohanna’s face turned red.

She had fallen victim to Teresia again.

After grabbing only the bag Teresia had given her, Dohanna promptly stood up from her seat.

“I’ll go first. I’m not feeling well. Please have the maid bring the baby items to my room, Mother.”

She made a gesture of farewell and practically fled from the room.

Walking confidently, Dohanna held the precious bag close to her.

“I can endure this bag…!”

She couldn’t even imagine having a fake bag in a novel. Suppressing her anger, she looked at the luxury bag and managed to hold back her frustration.
