“I wish you all a really good morning!”
Summer’s overly cheerful greeting caught the attention not only of Kitaek’s family sitting at the dining table but also drew glances from the staff lined up on the side.
“It’s a wonderful morning, isn’t it?”
The employees on one side exchanged glances, noticing Juhwa’s reaction. To no surprise, her forehead was furrowed.
Whether Summer was aware of this or not, she approached Inpyo and said, “Here, this is my seat.”
Inpyo looked bewildered. The same went for Juhwa and Jungmi.
Puzzled, Inpyo was about to say something when Summer spoke first, “But there’s no wine here?”
It was an unexpected comment.
“If there were, Aunt Jino would really appreciate it. No, everyone in the family would. Right, Aunt Jino?”
Jungmi’s face turned pale.

Haeun was no different.
In response, Inpyo and Sophia frowned.
“Shall I place an order? A resort might be better than here?”
As Summer took out her phone, Jungmi urgently said, “Inpyo, what are you doing? Quickly, make room for Summer.”
He looked at her incredulously.
She hurriedly gestured with her eyes.
“… Fine, sit here.”
Annoyed, he moved to the adjacent seat.
This shift caused Sophia’s seat to automatically move as well.
“What are you doing now? Who asked you to sit here?”

As Summer took Inpyo’s seat, Juhwa’s voice rose.
Kitaek stepped forward.
“Sister, Summer is also a part of our family, and having a meal together here is appropriate, isn’t it?”
“Enough, you leave.”
This time, Jungmi stepped forward.
“Brother, if you keep doing this, it’s embarrassing for us.”
Summer’s hand was casually shaking her phone.
Seeing Juhwa’s furrowed brows, Jungmi bowed and said, “Her words aren’t entirely wrong. Summer is a part of our family. However, if you keep treating her like this, it’s embarrassing for us and the staff. People might think we’re encouraging you to mistreat Summer. It’s just a meal; let it go.”
Jungmi hastily nudged Haeun’s thigh, seated beside her.
“That’s right, Aunt. Let’s just move on and eat together. What’s so important about this seat?”

Inpyo even joined in, supporting Summer.
“Sister, please stop this meal.”
Trying to ease the tense atmosphere, Kitaek intervened once again.
Juhwa glared at Summer sitting right in front of her.
Smiling broadly, Summer raised both hands and cheerfully exclaimed, “Let’s eat! Truly, enjoy your meal!”
Taking a spoon, she scooped up a piece of fish and swiftly put it in her mouth.
“It’s really delicious! What are you waiting for? Don’t just stare at my face, go ahead and try it. It’s absolutely amazing!”
Jungmi and Haeun forced smiles, their mouths twitching from the effort, while Inpyo and Sophia mechanically ate their food, suppressing their anger.
“I told you to drink politely even if you drink! What kind of embarrassment is this because of you! Why should I lose my place to that girl?”
Inpyo shouted at Haeun, sounding scary as he entered his room.
“I made a mistake. Still, this is all Jungyeoreum’s fault! What the hell should I do about her wickedness!”

“Can’t you just shut up!”
“Sure, I lost just one seat at the dining table, but I lost my room! Do you know where I slept yesterday? I slept in the study! Now my back hurts, my whole body is sore! I earn ten times more than you, but why do you yell!”
“This is all because you’re stupid! Why blame someone else for your stupidity!”
“Stupid? Have you finished talking? Didn’t you have a lot of accidents before? Should I tell everyone about them?”
“Stop it!”
As the siblings’ emotional fight intensified, Sophia stepped forward to mediate.
“Honey, the problem here is more Jungyeoreum than the lady.”
“That’s what I said!”
Haeun shouted loudly.
“As you saw, Jungyeoreum is more evil than we thought. Did you see her threatening us with a smile?”

“Yes, son. This is Jungyeoreum’s problem, not Haeun’s. She seems to have become quite audacious.”
Jungmi, looking exhausted, nodded.
“Honey, if you keep ignoring Jungyeoreum, it will cause trouble.”
At Sophia’s words, everyone turned to look at her.
“Do you have a good solution?”
“I’ll show the lady a video and report it to my aunt.”
“…Younger sister!”
Haeun growled.
“Or do you want to keep being dragged around by Jungyeoreum like this?”
“You might get a severe scolding from my aunt if you keep this up! Don’t forget about what happened last time!”

“Lady, a scolding is nothing, but it’s different for Jungyeoreum.”
“What?”
“Do you know how much your aunt dislikes Jungyeoreum? But if a video is uploaded, and especially if she threatens you or our family, do you think my aunt will leave it alone?”
Inpyo said.
“Yeah, that method seems good.”
“…Brother!”
“Whether you like it or not, it will eventually reach my aunt’s ears. Even preventing the legal team won’t work now. So let’s voluntarily pay the price. Instead, Jungyeoreum will die at my aunt’s hands.”
Jungmi asked, “Do we really have to use that method?”
“Madam, if you have a better way, please tell us.”
Seeing Sophia’s sarcasm, Jungmi remained silent.

When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
