The Grand Temptation (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 62
“So, did you dislike it because I teased you?”
Yuli closed her mouth, her face flushed. When asked so directly, she didn’t know how to respond. But she couldn’t lie, so she slowly shook her head.
“No.”
Seemingly satisfied with her answer, he gave a brief laugh and shifted his position, settling his body over hers. He propped himself up with one arm while the other wrapped around Yuli’s waist.
“Then how should I tease you this time?”
She could feel the chill from outside still clinging to his body, yet his gaze burned hotter than anything else. He was cold yet hot, gentle yet rough—the duality of him made Yuli burn even more fiercely. She opened her arms and pulled Jae Ho close.
It was long past noon before the two finally left the bed.
When Yuli entered the kitchen after her shower, she saw Jae Ho opening the cupboard, searching for something to eat. The refrigerator stood empty, as they’d been away from home. All that remained were a can of soup, some biscuits, a bag of potato chips on the island countertop, and a bar of chocolate.
“Shall I order something delivered?”
“No, this is enough.”
Yuli approached from behind and wrapped her arms around Jae Ho’s waist. She couldn’t bear to be apart from him even for a moment. When she clung to him like a koala and refused to let go, Jae Ho sighed and turned around.
“If you keep doing this, I won’t be able to focus on food—I’ll pounce on you again.”
Despite his stern warning, Yuli wouldn’t let go, so he lifted her up and placed her on the island countertop.
“Eat this and wait quietly.”
He tore open the bag of potato chips and nestled it into her lap as he spoke. On a sudden whim, Yuli set the chips aside and instead popped a piece of chocolate into her mouth. Closing her eyes, she let out a long, moaning sigh of delight.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
