The Grand Temptation (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 37
“What do you mean, ‘no’?”
Hyun Kyung grinned and unfolded another outfit. It was the same design as the one she had just told Yuli to wear, differing only in color. Both were mini-skirt dresses that clung tightly to the body, with bare shoulders and a deep neckline. Tiny pearl beads adorned the cuffs and bust, slightly softening the sensual vibe and adding a touch of cuteness.
Even so! She’d never worn even short shorts before, let alone something this revealing—it was absurd.
“Hyun Kyung, I can’t wear this.”
Yuli frowned, waving her hands in refusal.
“Why not? You’re getting married the day after tomorrow. You should wear something like this and go out to a club before you become a married woman. Are you really going to stick to Cheongdam-dong fashion your whole life?”
Getting married the day after tomorrow?
And the phrase “before you become a married woman” pierced Yuli’s heart like a sharp blade. Seeing Yuli momentarily hesitate despite her firm initial refusal, Hyun Kyung gave a playful smile and pulled her into a hug.
“I’ll wear the black one, you take the silver. Let’s do couple’s outfits, okay? Just think of it as an early bachelorette party.”
“It’s not like we’re marrying for love—why go all out with a bachelorette party…”
A cynical laugh slipped out unbidden. But in the end, Yuli nodded.
“Fine, just for today.”
She’d lived her whole life tightly wound—what harm could come from loosening up for a single day? The moment permission was granted, Hyun Kyung hastily dressed Yuli before she could change her mind. The dress clung so tightly it was hard to breathe. Though undeniably revealing and embarrassing, it felt less suffocating than the wedding dress she’d tried on earlier. Of course, clothes like these weren’t comfortable—but at least they didn’t feel like shackles dragging her down.
“Even with the same size, it looks completely different depending on your figure.”
Hyun Kyung groused enviously as she eyed Yuli’s voluptuous curves. She quickly snapped out of it, however, and laid out the makeup she’d brought from home.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
