“Can’t see from outside!”

Yul Li stared at the living room wall made entirely of glass with incredulous eyes. Min Woo was only a few steps away, on the phone. It was certain that if one just turned their heads slightly, they could see both of them. As if understanding why Yul Li was anxious, Je Ho spoke again.

“It’s a special type of glass.”
Meaning that you can clearly see the outside from inside, but the light reflection prevents the inside from being seen from the outside. Moreover, the garden was brightly lit as if it was noon, so the inside was darker than the outside. Then, the transparent glass wall covering the entire living room would look like a huge mirror from the outside.

“Are you cold?”
Bending his waist, Je Ho gently asked as he rested his chin on Yul Li’s head.

“Shall I turn on the heater?”
When he applied force to the hand he was hugging her with, their bodies got closer. Feeling his solid chest against her back, Yul Li involuntarily closed her eyes tightly. It felt like her heart was dropping with a thud.

This is crazy. Min Woo was right in front of her, separated only by a glass wall. If she was in her right mind, she should have pushed Je Ho’s hand away right now. But she couldn’t. The warm and cozy embrace was too comforting. It was hard to believe it was the action of a man who until recently wouldn’t even meet her eyes.

But Yul Li soon changed her mind. It wasn’t right for her to act like this, while she warned Min Woo to be straight with her.

“No, I’m not cold.”
Placing her hand on top of his, Yul Li released the large hand she was holding. Je Ho obediently let go and leaned his left shoulder against the glass wall. When Yul Li turned around, he met her gaze and gently curled his eyes.

His smile was so pretty it made her wonder. Even so, she couldn’t just stand there admiring his beautiful smile.

“How’s the shoulder injury?”
When Yul Li tried to subtly change the subject, Je Ho chuckled, “Pfft”, and laughed. However, he obediently answered her question.

“Well, soso.”
He lightly nodded his head and bent his body towards Yul Li. When the distance became close enough for their breaths to touch, a subtle scent rushed into her nostrils. Feeling the fragrance mixed perfectly with citrus and musk, Yul Li clenched her hands.

“Can you drive already?”
Instead of stepping back, Yul Li defiantly stared into his eyes. It was true she was attracted, but she didn’t want to be weak in front of him.

“It’s inconvenient to ride in someone else’s car.”
Was it her imagination? His gaze seemed extraordinarily affectionate. Why did he suddenly change his attitude when he was so cold just moments ago? Was it because Min Woo had left his spot?

Yul Li turned her gaze to the garden. Min Woo was still on the phone, his back turned to her. The call was taking longer than expected.

“I think it would be better to tour the house together when Min Woo returns. I’ll just wait here.”
“Oh, are you trying to cosplay as a modest bridetobe?”
His ridicule was clear, but Yul Li didn’t respond. When she didn’t react, Je Ho pulled up a faint smile at the corner of his mouth.

“……Hmm, this is different from when you boldly told me to undress when we were at my place.”
Her face turned red in an instant, but she bit her lips in silence instead of refuting. His words were not entirely wrong.

Seeming to find her enduring amusing, Je Ho lightly chuckled and lightly touched her bitten lips with his fingertip. As if shocked by electricity, a tingling sensation spread over her lips, and Yul Li’s eyes widened. Pleased with her reaction, Je Ho chuckled again.

“Hu, do you know what kind of eyes you’re looking at me with right now?”
Je Ho bent his head towards Yul Li even closer. Thanks to that, their eye levels matched. His deep, abysslike eyes looked at her as if they were sucking her in. His wellarranged lips moved slowly.

“I really don’t understand. Why would you want to marry a guy like Min Woo? Because he’s a thirdgeneration chaebol?”
He snorted and shook his head lightly.

“No, it won’t be that. What could the daughter of Representative Chae Hyeong Sik, who’s even mentioned as a potential presidential candidate, possibly lack? Right?”
“If you’re asking whether this marriage is necessary……”

Je Ho always asked Yul Li the same question. Every time, her answer was the same. This time would be no different.

“No.”
Je Ho grimaced, lifting himself from the wall he had been leaning against.

“I’m not asking you right now.”
“If you’re not asking, then what exactly…”
Before she could finish, he pressed his hands against the wall on either side of Yul Li as if to imprison her. Caught between his solid arms, Yul Li froze with a stunned expression. As if reflecting her state, her elegantly brushed hair slipped forward.

“What do you mean, you’re changing the plan?”

Je Ho recalled the image of Woo Kyul from last night, looking surprised.

“You don’t just want to disrupt the wedding, you want to prevent it altogether?”
Woo Kyul looked baffled.

“It can’t possibly be Min Woo.”
