Sunlight streamed in through the half-open curtains.

Aracila turned her body sideways and opened her eyes. She had woken up slightly earlier than usual. Through sleep-fogged vision, a face that instantly sharpened her mind came into view.

Glistening silver hair, delicate eyes, a refined nose, and composed lips.

Damian lay perfectly still like a statue. The soft morning sunlight of spring brightly illuminated his handsome features. Aracila quietly gazed at his sharply chiseled profile.

After tearing up their marriage contract and deciding to become a genuine married couple, the two had merged their bedrooms. Damian no longer had to uncomfortably sleep on the sofa in his study; instead, he lay beside Aracila whenever night grew deep.

However, since both had long grown accustomed to sleeping alone, a brief period of adjustment was needed—such as, for instance, now, when the first thing they saw upon waking was each other’s face.

‘Hm, he’s handsome no matter when I look.’

Even after sharing a bed for several weeks, she still found herself marveling each time.

As if hearing her inner thoughts, Damian, who had been sleeping peacefully, suddenly turned toward Aracila. This brought his divinely sculpted face even closer into view.

Slowly, Damian’s eyelids lifted. Caught staring openly at him, Aracila smiled brightly the moment their eyes met and offered a greeting.

“Did you sleep well, Damian?”

“My lady, did you rest peacefully as well?”

“Yes, my eyes are delighted right from this morning.”

Damian gave a soft chuckle and reached out to tuck a stray strand of Aracila’s hair behind her ear. Propping himself up on one arm, he leaned in to place light kisses on her cheek and lips.

“Shall we get up now?”
