Damian took out the letter after finishing all his work and being left alone in his study.

He carefully pulled out the letter he had kept tucked away deep in his drawer like a treasure. It was the one Aracila had written him for his birthday.

He had waited several days after his birthday, holding off so he could honor her request to read it alone.

Now, with no one to disturb him, he intended to read her letter with a reverent heart and posture.

‘I wonder what my wife has written for me.’

With eager anticipation, he unfolded the letter, taking care not to crumple the paper.

“To Damian,

Damian, it feels like it’s been such a long time since I last wrote you a letter.

Do you remember the first one I sent you? Back then, I never imagined we’d spend all four seasons together like this.
