The Duke's Flower is Precarious (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 73
The reception room in Duke Hilburn’s mansion was filled with a heavy atmosphere.
Shade frowned slightly at the corners of his eyes, looking at his father, Duke Hilburn, and his close friend, Grand Duke Elyos.
Between these two people—whom he trusted and respected the most—a tense undercurrent filled the air. Duke Hilburn, his furrowed brow deepening further, spoke first.
“Your Grace, do you truly intend to stand by and watch this unfold?”
“Is it because of the Council of Nobles?”
“You understand well, as expected. If things continue this way, the noble factions of Jupiter will split completely.”
“So your position as a moderate is becoming difficult?”
“Indeed, you understand perfectly. I desire stability and peace for Jupiter. House Hilburn has always upheld neutrality and guarded Jupiter for generations.”
Duke Hilburn briefly glanced at his family’s crest hanging on one side of the reception room. The emblem, shaped like balanced scales, symbolized their commitment to impartial equilibrium.
Since the empire’s founding, the illustrious House Hilburn—the ducal family that had produced the greatest number of chancellors throughout history—had always pursued harmony between imperial and ecclesiastical authority. That was both the chancellor’s duty and the Hilburn belief for maintaining a stable empire.
Whenever division and conflict arose within the Council of Nobles, Duke Hilburn had served as the leader of the moderates, mediating between opposing sides.
Recently, however, tensions had intensified between the so-called Imperial Faction and Grand Duke Faction. Their exhausting disputes—constantly clashing over every proposal—had given Duke Hilburn a severe headache.
“I can’t understand why you, Your Grace, are choosing to ignore this situation, even though you surely understand it clearly…”
“I’ve never gathered those called the ‘Grand Duke Faction.’ You know that well enough, don’t you?”
“I do. I know you’ve worked hard to maintain balance between imperial and ecclesiastical authority since His Majesty the current Emperor ascended the throne.”

She turned around upon hearing the noise.
He looked up at her, his eyebrows drooping: “My hand… has no strength.”
“Shall I… feed you?” she asked tentatively.
He opened his mouth cheerfully: “Ah—”
Thinking she was drowning, he jumped in without hesitation to save her, but nearly drowned himself. In the end, it was she who swam over to rescue him, giving him air underwater.
After emerging from the water, his ear tips turned red. He lightly brushed his cheek, tucking his sideburns behind his ear, revealing delicate, pink-tinged ear tips. He lowered his gaze, too embarrassed to look at her.
Xin Jiao Zhou: He’s truly beautiful, kind-hearted, and adorable.

Can’t wait for second prince to die . How dare he touch grand Duchess with his filthy hand.
I hope Kareon kills first prince . But maybe that’s not going to happen because of diplomatic relations between kingdoms. If at that moment aidel would have remained unconscious ,second prince definitely would have died .It’s unfortunate , that bastard should have died on spot.
I am blushing even though I don’t know what withdrawal symptoms is.
