The Duke's Flower is Precarious (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 65
Seeing Aidel flustered and frozen in place, Pierre gave a gentle chuckle and naturally guided her to the next location.
“The next place we’ll visit is the library.”
“Oh…! Actually, I was just wanting to read a book.”
“I’ve heard you enjoy reading. They say you’re always reading whenever you take a rest, even at the Grand Duke’s residence.”
Pierre had already thoroughly learned the Grand Duchess’s preferences through Marline. He’d heard she never missed a day of reading, so he guessed she must have felt terribly stifled—unable to read a single book during her recovery, especially after everything that had happened.
“The Grand Ducal Palace’s library houses ancient volumes as old as those in the Imperial Library.”
At Pierre’s words, an unmistakable flush of excitement colored Aidel’s cheeks.
A lady who thrilled more at books than jewels or dresses… He himself had once been an active noble in high society, yet this was the first time he’d met such a woman.
‘No wonder His Highness holds her in such special regard.’
Though eyesight dimmed with age, one’s insight into people only grew sharper.
Though they’d spent less than half a day together, Pierre had already sensed the firm intellect and steadfast character that formed the core of the Grand Duchess’s being through their various conversations.
“This building is the library. I’ll come escort you to the evening banquet later, so please take your time exploring until then.”
“Thank you. See you again soon.”
Pierre stepped away to give the Grand Duchess space to freely peruse the books and quietly immerse herself in reading.
Aidel entered the library. The distinctive scent of books—mingled with paper and ink—immediately eased her mind. Bathed in warm sunlight filtering through arched windows, the library exuded a serene, tranquil atmosphere.

Male lead is a Divorced Husband
She said to him: “Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change it!”

Liu Changning transmigrated into a female cannon fodder character in a female-dominant novel.
After reading the first half of the novel’s plot, the first thing she did upon transmigration was to divorce the Pan Jinlian-style male protagonist she had just married.
She indulged herself, pretending to be ugly and poor.
But as time passed, the way that man looked at her became more and more unusual…
Liu Changning was dumbfounded: Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change!

This lifetime, Pei Yuanshao was rejected by the same woman twice!
The first time, she drove him away. Forced by the situation, he endured the waves of anger in his heart, yielding and humbling himself.
That person lay slanted on a rocking chair, her sallow face emotionless: “If you don’t want a divorce, go cook!”
Pei Yuanshao’s face was dark and gloomy: “You!”
The second time, after the crisis in Jinling City was resolved, the new emperor sent someone to pick him up. He turned around, stammering: “I… I have to go. If you keep me…”
That person lay on the kang bed, her back to him, as if she had long anticipated this day, crisp and clear: “Goodbye!”
Pei Yuanshao was so angry his fingers trembled: “You… you!”
The mission of family and country made him restrain himself, averting his eyes and turning to leave this broken household.
Two years later, they met again. Seeing her ethereal face, his body shook like a sieve.
“She was originally a ‘she’!”
At the Qionglin Banquet, the top scholar of the imperial examination, a talented person with exceptional speech and conduct, all the unmarried young gentlemen from aristocratic families looked at her with shy and timid eyes.
The peerless imperial official Pei Yuanshao felt the anger in his heart erupt. He pointed at the woman surrounded by the crowd at the Qionglin Banquet, his thin lips slightly curled: “Little sister, I wants that person to be the wife-master of my Mingde Prince Manor.”

Can’t wait for second prince to die . How dare he touch grand Duchess with his filthy hand.
I hope Kareon kills first prince . But maybe that’s not going to happen because of diplomatic relations between kingdoms. If at that moment aidel would have remained unconscious ,second prince definitely would have died .It’s unfortunate , that bastard should have died on spot.
I am blushing even though I don’t know what withdrawal symptoms is.
