The Duke Stole Everything (1 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 7
Sharti hurriedly checked the man’s wound upon seeing his sudden condition. She felt his wrist and placed a hand on his forehead.
‘…No fever.’
This was completely different from his previous nightmare-like state.
The man frowned deeply as if in great pain, yet there were no open wounds or signs of infection.
Seeing him groan and toss restlessly, Sharti examined his body thoroughly to find the cause.
“…”
Sharti repeatedly massaged his legs and gently rubbed his body, carefully avoiding the injured areas.
Gradually, the man quieted down again.
‘What’s going on?’
Sharti and Tain exchanged puzzled glances.
“Ah!”
Tain suddenly gasped as if struck by an epiphany.
“This is the healing touch of a mother’s hands!”
“…?”
Tain seriously murmured, placing Sharti’s hand onto the man’s wound.
“Grandmother often uses this remedy on me! She said it’s a profoundly difficult healing method you can’t find in any book!”
“…”
Huh.
‘Didn’t his eyebrow just twitch?’
Sharti’s eyes narrowed.
Meanwhile, Tain’s eyes sparkled as he looked up at Sharti.
“Grandmother always says there’s nothing better than a mother’s healing touch for stomachaches! So you’ve learned it too, Teacher!”
The boy’s bright, earnest eyes shone with admiration for his teacher.
The legendary “mother’s healing touch,” perfected over many years—
Tain was sensing in Sharti the same mastery he’d witnessed in his grandmother, Bireta.
“…”
Could the mother’s healing touch really be effective?
‘Impossible.’
Sharti looked at the man with skeptical eyes.
But Tain’s passionate gaze made her reconsider.
‘Maybe he’s subconsciously feeling emotionally unsettled. He seemed to have nightmares often.’
Remembering the previous incident, Sharti nodded. She’d heard that human touch could unconsciously bring comfort and reassurance.
‘Though… his abdomen seems oddly tense.’
Sharti subtly withdrew her hand from the man’s body.
“…Ugh.”
A faint groan escaped the man’s lips.
Tain’s eyes lit up.
“Teacher! You absolutely mustn’t take your hand away. I’m still too young to use the mother’s healing touch myself.”
To Tain, even this tiny reaction from the patient—who had lain deathly still until now—felt miraculous.
Thus, Sharti had no choice but to take charge of changing the man’s bandages and applying medicine.
Good-natured Tain was perfectly content just assisting from the side.
“But Teacher, shouldn’t we try to find Mister Patient’s family?”
“Yes. When I come home late, Birena sister worries terribly. Mister Patient can’t return home either—his family must be extremely worried about him.”
Yet she couldn’t recklessly go around asking about the man’s identity.
Asking the villagers to help wasn’t feasible either—too many complications.
‘Aside from Tain’s family, I haven’t built close relationships with anyone here. I might get dragged into trouble.’
Thus, Sharti—who had no choice but to hide much about herself—now had to conceal this mysterious man as well.
“But why wouldn’t he want his injury known? His family must be worried.”
Faced with Tain’s innocent, earnest question, Sharti nodded.
‘…Right. They must be worried.’

Sharti looked at the man lying on the bed.
As Tain had said, the man’s family might even now be anxiously wondering whether he was alive or dead.
Tain tilted his head, unable to understand.
Tain’s small mouth pressed shut tightly.
Sharti knew Tain, who cherished family deeply and possessed a kind heart, was the only person with whom she’d shared her secret.
“I think I understand!”
Tain nodded firmly.
“Yes!”
Personal matters weren’t something a physician should judge arbitrarily.
A doctor’s duty was to treat the patient—not to meddle in the guardian’s feelings or circumstances.
‘Anyway, since I saved his life, they won’t blame me outright for not sending word.’
If questioned later, she could simply explain that she’d tried to minimize risks to the patient’s safety.
Later, while giving Tain a lesson on medicinal herbs in the cave, Sharti realized the sun had already sunk low.
She watched fondly as Tain muttered today’s lessons under his breath, memorizing them diligently.
‘The sun will set soon.’
Golden twilight seeped into the cave.
Sharti quickly tidied up the cave interior.
“Then today I’ll just eat with you, Teacher!”
Though it was still early, Tain pulled two rice balls from his bag.
“Thanks to Mister Patient, I’ve been using lots of herbs. I always get full marks! Thank you! So today I brought food for Mister Patient too.”
Tain split one of his rice balls in half, setting aside a portion as the man’s dinner.
Seeing the boy’s thoughtful gesture—wanting to share even the other half with his teacher—Sharti chuckled softly.
At seven years old, he was in a crucial growth phase. She couldn’t possibly take food from a child.
“Oh! Got it!”
Tain nodded vigorously and took a big bite of his rice ball.
Sharti carefully broke off small pieces of rice ball to feed the man, making it easy for him to swallow, and periodically offered sips of water.
Watching this intently, Tain spoke up, gripping his rice ball tightly in both hands.
“Mister Patient is just like a baby.”
Heh. Sharti instinctively turned her head away.
She’d been feeding him slowly to help him chew comfortably, so Tain’s comparison wasn’t entirely unreasonable.
‘Still… calling him a baby?’
Sharti barely suppressed a laugh.
Seeing Sharti smile, Tain giggled along too.
“…”
Amidst the warm atmosphere, neither noticed the thick vein briefly bulging on the man’s forehead before fading away.
She’d accompany him only to the village entrance—to avoid encountering soldiers.
“Yes, Teacher!”
Tain bowed deeply toward the man one last time before taking Sharti’s hand. After stepping out of the cave with Tain, Sharti covered the entrance with a screen woven from shrubs and branches.
As their footsteps grew fainter and they moved farther from the cave, a dark silhouette stirred within the darkness left behind.
“…”
The dark figure slowly rose from the bed, turning his head side to side to loosen his neck muscles.
His teal eyes scanned the dim cave.
“…Ha.”
Pressing his temples, the man sighed.
“…A baby.”
He placed his feet on the floor beside the bed, wearing an utterly incredulous expression.
His gaze was clear, his movements natural—nothing like the deathly still patient who’d pretended to sleep in front of Sharti.
Of course.
“Who would’ve thought I’d be treated like a baby after pretending to sleep for days.”
The man had regained faint consciousness two days prior and had been acting ever since to deceive Sharti.

“Well, considering I don’t even know who I am, I suppose I should be grateful for that much.”
His injuries weren’t only physical.
When he’d first opened his eyes, his mind had already been completely empty.
[This is the timeline separator]A hazy consciousness.
A body as heavy as a soaked cloth.
Darkness before his eyes.
A parched throat.
These were the sensations he’d felt while slowly regaining awareness during his nightmares.
-‘…What is this?’
The first thought that crossed his mind upon barely opening his eyes. It was also the question that had lingered as he slowly blinked in the darkness.
He was utterly alone in this place of total darkness.
-‘…Just what…’
As he tried to sit up, a sharp pain shot through his abdomen, making him catch his breath. A strong herbal scent then reached his nose.
He inhaled the mingled aromas of countless herbs in the darkness, calming his mind.
Yet his thoughts remained chaotic.
-‘Who… am I?’
First, he desperately tried to recall his own name.
Next came his status, then his circumstances, and finally his location.
-…Only my head hurts.
He gained nothing.
Instead, his headache worsened, forcing him to lie back down.
-‘There’s something wrong with my head.’
With no memories—not even his name—he silently accepted his amnesia.
Instead, he focused on understanding his current situation.
-‘Someone is treating me. Do they know who I am?’
Even without memories, he could sense something was deeply wrong with his condition.
The bandages wrapped around his body and the herbs applied to his wounds clearly indicated someone had treated him while he was unconscious.
But that was all he knew.
-…For now, I must stay cautious.
He decided to bide his time.
The next day, he awoke to footsteps entering the cave.
He kept his eyes shut, pretending to sleep.
-‘Say something—anything.’
News, his situation, anything about himself—he didn’t care.
His throat burned.
He craved any scrap of information.
Then something touched his lips.
-…!
His lips trembled slightly, reflexively wanting to open his eyes. But before he could, thirst mixed with impatience made his mouth part slightly on its own.
Cool water flowed in.
-….
It tasted like plain water. The slight relief from his desperate thirst made him quickly relax his body.
Soon after, a bitter herbal scent lingered in his nostrils.
-‘What are you doing?’
With gentle strength, his arms and legs were lifted.
Moments later, a slick sensation touched various parts of his body.
-‘…Medicine?’
He paid close attention to every movement of the person beside him.
The warmth against his skin felt gentle.

And small.
-‘A woman?’
Strangely, the man had a knack for discerning gender and approximate age from just a few touches—and even gauging physical differences between them.
Hearing her voice would confirm it, but unfortunately, no sound reached his ears.
-‘Good thing it’s quiet.’
The only sounds during treatment were their breathing and dripping water inside the cave.
It felt unfamiliar yet comforting.
Shortly after, the woman’s presence faded slightly as she finished changing his bandages.
He quietly lifted his eyelids.
-….
Unlike when he was alone, a faint light now softly illuminated the cave.
He turned his head slightly to catch a glimpse of her retreating back.
-‘…What is that?’
He saw a figure completely wrapped from head to toe in a long robe.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
