Charty sat alone in the dimly lit tent, rolling her eyes in various directions. The makeshift tent, erected overnight to isolate mana-addicted patients, exuded a completely different atmosphere.

Charty stared blankly at the large crystal ball placed on the table.

‘I was on my way to Grandma Bireta’s.’

She had intended to show the crimson poisonous herb to Bireta, inform her of her intention to leave the village, and convey the decision to depart.

[“Oh my~”]

In the process, she encountered an elderly person struggling to walk without a cane.

[“Since I can’t see in front, can I walk properly~”]

The elderly person, clearly older than Ashu’s grandfather, stumbled along with closed eyes, feeling the air with uncertain steps.

Naturally, Charty couldn’t pass by the elderly person who seemed to need assistance.

“Hello. Can I support you if you’re feeling unwell?”

Unable to exchange pleasantries with a visually impaired elderly person, Charty spoke in the smallest voice possible.

[“Oh~ Thank you~”]

Without warning, the elderly person, startled by the approaching presence, gratefully accepted Charty’s support.

Due to the years lived or perhaps the darkness in the eyes, there was no indication that the elderly person paid attention to Charty’s voice.

[“I am a fortuneteller~ I look at the stars~”]

The elderly person introduced themselves, adding unasked information that they were a fortune-teller hired by the sacred and venerable Matop priestess living in the temple.

In a natural flow, Charty also revealed herself as a doctor.

[“Oh~ Miss~ A doctor~?”]

The exaggerated tone was a bit peculiar, but it didn’t bother Charty much.

[“Oh~ Good~ I chose the perfect job for you~”]

Rather than that, Charty was more drawn to the elderly person’s flattering words as they warmly held her hand.

[“Miss, the stars tell me~ Help those in need~ Pick up the poor~ Right?”]

With a fortune-teller’s insight, the elderly person accurately perceived Charty’s disposition.

Listening with a curious heart, Charty was led by the elderly person’s hand into the tent used as an isolation facility.

[“Oh~ I’m so thankful~ Come in and rest for a while~”]

Charty couldn’t refuse, feeling more like a guest than being forcibly detained.

Concern also lingered as she left the visually impaired elderly person alone in the spacious tent.

‘By the way, it’s my first time at a fortune-teller.’

Charty wandered around inside the tent.

To create an atmosphere reminiscent of a fortune-teller’s den, blackout cloths were laid inside the tent, casting an overall darkness.

The only source of light was a single crystal ball placed on the table.

‘An oddly shaped crystal ball.’

Inside the sphere, the size of a child’s head, unique constellations were carved, each emitting its own light.

‘Did you say you see stars?’

Predicting the future or destiny might be akin to possessing the eyes of the heavens.

Somehow, her heart began to beat faster.
“Oh my~ I brought an old man who was wandering around because he didn’t know the tent’s location~ I wonder if I’ve taken away your time, Miss.”

The old man, bringing a glass of water and dried persimmons, sat across from Charty.

Taking her eyes off the crystal ball, Charty glanced at the glass of water and dried persimmons offered by the old man.

“No, I’m not busy.”

“But I’m really grateful~ I want to do something for you, Miss~ How about I read your fortune?”

“What?”

The old man raised his hand to the crystal ball, chuckling.

“Not about the stars~ More like the flow of the stars~ It seems like you have something on your mind, Miss~”

“…You can know about that too?”

“I have my share of concerns, you know~?”

The old man seemed relaxed, as if he could see through Charty’s thoughts.

“Have you been preoccupied lately?”

In response to the subtle question, Charty reflexively thought of Ren. Even now, her mind was focused on him to the point of distraction.

Pierced to the core, Charty absentmindedly touched her ear, rolling her eyes.

“…There have been many things.”

Things like the hidden secret of the village, mana addiction, the Kroph mercenaries, the Matop… Her excuses kept getting longer and eventually blurred.

The old man nodded sympathetically.

“Oh my~ Forget about that~ Come here, look~”

Following the old man’s gesture, Charty turned her gaze to the crystal ball.

“The stars speak~ They say you have someone on your mind~”

“…!”

“At some point, your eyes keep going there~ Then your heart goes~ Oh my~ Don’t be embarrassed, tell me~”

“That, well…”

Caught off guard by the atmosphere resembling a relationship counseling session, Charty blinked her eyes, and her heart raced for no reason.

Charty had no immunity to discussing matters of the heart, unlike with Birena.

“Why~ Is that person not treating you well~?”

“No!”

Charty tightly closed her eyes.

Surprised by her reflexive denial, she felt a stinging sensation on her cheek.

“…He treats me well. He’s a good person.”

“But why does Miss hesitate~?”

“No reason!”

Charty closed her eyes tightly again.

An Indifferent Woman is the One Men Desire the Most

One-line summary: The female lead is actually cold-hearted and extremely rational. She has stage-by-stage relationships and won’t two-time, but there will always be someone who secretly likes her.

This novel has the following triggers, so if you’re sensitive to these, please don’t read:

1. The female lead has had many relationships, but she treated each one seriously and broke up properly.

It’s just that the men unilaterally pestered her incessantly. For the female lead, when she doesn’t like someone anymore, she simply doesn’t like them.

(This applies to her relationships with Male Lead 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well, but she’s loyal in each 1-on-1 relationship!)

2. In this novel, Male Lead 2 and the female lead kiss in a car, and Male Lead 1 sees it and beats up Male Lead 2.

The female lead calls the police and sends both Male Lead 1 and 2 to the police station! Male Lead 1 begs the female lead not to break up with him.

3. Male Lead 1 has a gentle appearance but an obsessive personality.

Male Lead 2 has a delicate and soft appearance, slightly green tea-like (two-faced).

Male Lead 3 is a youthful college student and a smart person who has secretly liked the female lead for a long time.

Male Lead 4 is the female lead’s father’s special assistant, a business elite with deep, hidden thoughts.

4. At the beginning of this novel, the female lead has already broken up with Male Lead 1 (Chapter 4) and gotten back together with Male Lead 2 (ex-boyfriend).

5. Enter with caution if you have triggers!!!

You’re bound to regret it if you skip this novel. Read the review & spoiler to find out what you might be missing!
