Miera placed her hand on the knight’s bleeding arm.
A bright light emerged from her slender fingertips, then vanished instantly. Along with the light, the rather large wound that had been there was completely erased.

“Are you feeling better now?”

Miera rose to her feet after healing the remaining wounded. The captain of Delmarque’s knights approached her as she looked around, seemingly searching for someone.
“It seems we keep receiving your help every time, Reverend. That must have been a difficult journey—I’m grateful you came all this way.”
Clerics blessed with divine power were usually dispatched to handle minor and major incidents within the capital, tending to the injured.
Though all such duties were arduous, most clerics avoided one task in particular: accompanying expeditions to exterminate monsters.

There was simply no reason for anyone to volunteer willingly.
Thus, the captain of Delmarque’s knights never imagined Miera would have come along of her own accord for this monster hunt.
“Don’t mention it. This is my duty, after all.”
Miera gave him a gentle smile, then asked with hopeful eyes,
“But… didn’t His Grace come?”
