Blair, having barely managed to pull the bell rope, curled up in bed again and waited for Rina. The room was still warm from the fireplace’s lingering heat—likely lit by Herdin that morning before he left.
Suddenly, a thought struck her.
‘Herdin probably isn’t behind those attackers.’
