After spending another fortnight alone together in Ikar, the two arrived in Livren. Blair’s due date was now less than a month away.

As their carriage passed through the mansion’s main gate and entered the courtyard, they saw the servants lined up in neat rows, awaiting their masters’ return.

Blair’s expression darkened at the sight. Herding noticed her change in demeanor and asked curiously, “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing… it’s just a bit embarrassing. It’s only been two months since I told everyone we were getting divorced…”

Ah. Realizing Blair was embarrassed, Herdin chuckled softly.

Outwardly, his wife was the elegant and refined imperial princess—but in truth, she had such an endearing side. The thought that only he knew this side of her filled him with a strange sense of pride.

“Then shall we turn the carriage around and head back to Ikar? I wouldn’t mind.”

“Don’t even think about it.”

Blair quickly stopped him, fearing he might actually turn the carriage around. Just then, the carriage arrived at the front entrance of the mansion.

“Welcome back, both of you.”

The head butler of the Livren estate opened the carriage door and greeted them.

Herdin stepped out first, then helped Blair down from the carriage.

As the two walked toward the mansion’s entrance, the lined-up servants bowed their heads in unison.

Herdin matched his pace to Blair’s, unable to take his eyes off her. Due to her swollen belly, Blair walked slowly, taking small, careful steps.

The sight tugged at his heart—and yet even that looked adorable to him, proof that he was utterly smitten with her.
