Blair laughed at the children’s candid honesty.
“Thank you for liking me so much. I like you all too.”
Just then, she finished braiding the hair of the child she’d been helping.
“There, all done, Alisa. Want to check yourself in the mirror?”
Blair handed the girl a hand mirror. Seeing her neatly braided pigtails, the child nodded contentedly.
“It’s pretty! You’re the best, Teacher!”
“Then it’s my turn now!”
The next child eagerly sat down in front of Blair, turning her back to her. Blair began carefully combing the next child’s hair.
