An impossible event occurred.
“CEO? So, right now…..”
Seo Woo could no longer continue speaking and just stared at him. What did I just hear?
Contrary to the confused Seo Woo, his eyes did not waver at all.
“I mean it literally. I will accept Ms. Eun Seo Woo’s feelings.”
Yes, Seo Woo was the first to have feelings.
However, it was a onesided love. No, it was more akin to admiration that comes with ‘fandom’ rather than a poignant unrequited love, and naturally, she had no thoughts of confession. She never expected it to be reciprocated in the first place.
But how did this situation come about?
“Let’s date.”
“…..”
“Assuming we will get married.”
As fresh air brushed past her gaping lips, Seo Woo thought.
“…..”
Perhaps,
…..our CEO seems to have gone mad.

Twentyfour hours before our CEO went mad.
“Good morning.”
Dressed in a neat uniform, Seo Woo standing at the desk brightly greeted the employees passing through the lobby.
Her posture was straight without any distortion, her hands were joined at a 30degree bow, her gaze was 2 meters ahead, and a neat smile was on her lips.
She, who always started the morning in the same way, was a receptionist working at TH Food, responsible for the firstfloor lobby information desk where employees and visitors enter and exit.
“Good morning.”
Her gentle voice flowed continuously from Seo Woo’s mouth, and the familiar employees bowed and passed by.
At that moment, the revolving door at the far end of the vast lobby slowly turned. Even the flow of air changed momentarily. Employees who were passing freely slowed their steps and scattered at some point.
“Ha, he’s crazy.”
“It’s like a movie.”
“I admit, he’s really goodlooking.”
As the sounds of admiration scattered around, a man passed through the revolving door and entered the lobby.
His mere entrance brought about a tremendous force. As if he would consume you if you weren’t careful.
The suit fit smoothly around his long and thick thighs and his pace, neither too fast nor slow, was dizzyingly within sight. His breathtaking presence washed over the lobby like a tidal wave.
His eyes were beautifully shaped but revealed no emotions, and his sharply upright nose kept those who saw him on edge. His cold gaze, like a dense veil wherever it fell, embodied an aura that was difficult to approach.

The people standing nearby, turned into something akin to the sea’s bounty, at the rate that could make one’s mouth sore from talking about it. His slim yet robust physique to his harmonious facial features were like a blessing from the gods.
CEO Tae Min Hyuk.
It was certain that at this moment, he was the most perfect creation under the sky.
“Hello, Mr. CEO.”
As always, Seo Woo, who had been waiting, greeted him.
Of course, the CEO neither answered nor even glanced at him. He would nod his head to receive a greeting, but he seemed to treat Seo Woo as a village keeper standing at the edge of the village or a stone statue scattered around the tourist spots in Jeju Island.
CEO Tae Min Hyuk and the giant man who always followed him like a shadow headed towards the executive elevator. When Seo Woo, who flowed quietly like water or air, stood next to him and pressed the up button, the elevator door, which had been kept at the 1st floor in advance, smoothly opened.
CEO Tae Min Hyuk stepped inside.
As Seo Woo bowed her waist with a neat posture and greeted until the door closed, he did not utter a single word as always.
To him, Eun Seo Woo might just be one of the employees whose existence he might not even be aware of.
It was a morning like any other.

Eighteen hours before the CEO went mad.
“I think the report will come in by today, Mr. CEO.”
On the way back to the office after finishing the afternoon schedule from outside.
Min Hyuk, who had been sitting in the back seat with his eyes closed, lifted his eyelids at the sound coming from the front. The words Han Cha Woong, the executive secretary sitting in the driver’s seat, said immediately after ending the call, were the news Min Hyuk had been waiting and waiting for.
“What do you mean ‘it seems’?”
Of course, the sound coming from his mouth was nothing but cold.
“The identification of the person is 99.9% done, but they said they are checking the last ‘just in case’. After final confirmation, I think they will deliver the news again by today at the latest. But finally, the end is in sight.”
“It’s not the end, it’s the beginning.”
“Ah, yes. That’s right, it ‘seems’ that way.”
Han Cha Woong stuck to his vague way of speaking with his own conviction. It was clear what would happen if Min Hyuk said ‘it is’ and things somehow went wrong. Han Cha Woong was a special and longstanding connection who knew him very well.
“Are you sure you found it?”
“Yes. We agreed to receive the final report after everything fits down to 0.1%. And that is today.”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
