Lisi had completely forgotten about Lacozan’s existence.

Since staying at the manor, Lacozan had been equally quiet.

It was the same at this party as well.

“Oh, don’t mind me.”

As everyone approached to greet him, Lacozan merely said that and sat down on a sofa in the corner of the banquet hall.

Then he silently fixed his gaze on Lisi.

The young ladies and noblewomen who had been chattering around Lisi scattered in all directions after Lacozan appeared. They were probably worried that his intense stare at Lisi might cause trouble.

Lisi was also preoccupied by Lacozan’s burning gaze and didn’t even notice Britney approaching.

“Iris. This is truly a wonderful party.”

“Yes.”

Britney linked arms with her.

“You’re the host—why are you standing so quietly in the corner? You should go enjoy yourself a bit too.”

Lisi wanted to pull away from Britney’s arm, but too many eyes were watching.

Even though they had severed ties, Britney hadn’t committed any serious wrongdoing, so Lisi couldn’t treat her harshly.
