A large hand and warm lips carefully traced over every part of Tae Eun’s body. She gasped softly and closed her eyes. Instantly, even more intense sensations flooded her, paralyzing her thoughts. It had been far too long since she’d felt her husband’s touch.

After lingering on her body for a long while, his lips returned to hers once more. Their delicate flesh rubbed together, radiating a searing heat that made each ache for the other. Yet, through it all, Tae Eun could sense how Woo Jin had changed.

Unlike before—when he’d struggled to rein in his desire and often been a bit rough—he was now incomparably gentle. Even the lightest caress of his fingers, as if afraid she might shatter at the slightest pressure, revealed his deep consideration for her pregnancy. Still, gentleness didn’t mean lack of passion; on the contrary, her body burned hotter than ever before.

To avoid pressing down on her rounded belly, Woo Jin supported his full weight with his arms while ceaselessly stoking her desire.

He clenched his teeth. Though his hunger was taut and swelling, threatening to burst at any moment, he fought with all his strength to hold back. Holding Tae Eun, pregnant as she was, represented a perilous, forbidden desire—but precisely for that reason, it felt all the more irresistible.

Each time his lips moved from her mouth to her neck, then lower, Tae Eun responded honestly. Her trembling skin convulsed as if ready to shatter him completely. And when his restraint finally reached its breaking point, Woo Jin pressed a brief kiss to her swollen belly.

A careful warning.

Ideally, he’d suppress his desire until the babies were born—but doing so might very well kill him. Watching her grow even more beautiful through pregnancy, yet only able to observe her silently by his side, was a new kind of torment for him.

The moment he pulled her into his arms and exhaled a hot breath, the diamond pendant glittering against her pale neck reflected in his flushed eyes.

It had been worth the wait.

They’d come here for a getaway—but after accepting him twice through the night, an utterly exhausted Tae Eun meant the two spent the entire morning indoors at the villa. Still, neither minded. Wrapped in each other’s arms, they shared many conversations and spent the time meaningfully.

But by afternoon, staying cooped up felt wasteful. So Tae Eun suggested they go out for dinner, and Woo Jin readily agreed.
