Raising his hand, Jeong Hyeok gently pressed his closed eyelids as he attentively absorbed the profile recited by Director Min.
“Admitted to the Department of Architecture at S University; employed continuously at Hanbit Architectural Office from graduation to present. Permanently resides at Unit 1401, Building 1008, R Villa in Pangyo; owns the property, and the only cohabitant is her child. That concludes the information on Ms. Yoo Da Jung.”
After the rustling sound of flipping documents, Director Min’s voice continued.
“Name: Yoo Si Woo. Age 5. Blood type O. Born naturally at 6:32 a.m. on May 17 at Rosa Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in Seoul. No paternal information recorded at birth; enrolled this year in the private kindergarten operated by the Hansong Educational Foundation. That is all.”
Director Min’s eyes subtly drifted away from the documents, flicking left and right.
Even after the report ended, Executive Managing Director Cha remained silent, eyes still closed. Director Min cautiously resumed speaking.
“And this was what you specifically requested.”
A thin document envelope was discreetly slid onto the desk. Only then did Jeong Hyeok straighten his posture.
His heavy, hardened gaze settled steadily on the plain white envelope, blank of any writing.
For a fleeting moment, he wondered whether opening it was truly wise—but the hesitation lasted only briefly.
He parted the unsealed fold of the envelope, withdrew its contents, and grasped them in his hand.
His eyes skimmed rapidly over the text, lingering longest near the document’s end.
Maintaining a calm, composed silence for quite some time, he finally spoke.
“Yoo Da Jung. Send her in immediately.”
