An awkward time beyond 3 p.m.
Entering the lobby of Myunghan Distribution, Siwoo looked around with curious eyes.
Adults walking briskly with stiff steps were seen in all directions, and the lobby, entangled with complex metal structures, had a ceiling that extended dauntingly up to the 7th floor.
Feeling one leg becoming heavy, Junghyuk cast his gaze diagonally downward. With his thigh tightly gripped, Siwoo’s eyes were full of vigilance and curiosity, shining brightly.
The original plan Junghyuk had, which involved seeing dolphins, having sandwiches for lunch, and then showcasing the latest video game equipment prepared for his son at the Myunghan Residence, was like this.
The plan was for Siwoo to play for a while, take a late nap, and then handle online tasks during that time. Finally, after feeding him and sending him back to his real mom by evening, the mission would be complete.
However, it didn’t go as planned. Unexpected urgent reports and unavoidable approvals were flooding in all at once.
Knowing that depending on when he signed, a small partner company could face a crisis overnight, it was not a matter to be taken lightly.
Regrettably, Junghyuk had to ask for Siwoo’s understanding for about three hours.
Siwoo tilted his head and looked up at Junghyuk.

“Uh? Dad went to the company…?”
The concept Siwoo could recall upon hearing the word ‘company’ was the cozy space of Hanbit Architecture Office where Mom and Uncle worked.
Desks were tightly packed, and scenes where complicated drawings and characters piled up on paper, ready to collapse at any moment, were still impressive when recalled.
Junghyuk extended one finger.
“This is the company.”
Siwoo looked up at him again after a quick head tilt. Then, instead of holding onto his thigh, he tightly grabbed the finger Junghyuk offered.
“Uh? No… the company, Mom’s company wasn’t like this!”
“Of course not. How many affiliates does Mom’s company have compared to such a hole-in-the-wall place? Siwoo, don’t act so innocently wherever you go. Anyway, everything will be yours later, but if you’re too humble, people will curse you. Got it?”
“Uh! Yes!”
He answered confidently. Whether he understood was questionable.

When he was busy catching up on overdue work, a knock echoed. Soon after, Manager Min entered the office.
“Executive, the video call with New York is connected.”
Only then did Junghyuk’s gaze, which had been stuck on the documents, rise. It was the awaited call.
“Hand it over here.”
On the tablet PC handed over from his hand, a damp, misty, blue haze soaked Central Park’s gloomy landscape. The screen even shook dizzyingly, and the woman, taking up half of the video in perfect workout attire, was panting heavily as if out of breath.
Junghyuk’s eyes subtly squinted. Wondering what she was doing, he raised his wrist to check the time, and it was 6 p.m. Considering the 14-hour time difference, he understood why these scenes were unfolding.
“I sent you to work, but you’re jogging in Central Park at 8 a.m.? Good fortune.”
Although he teased abruptly, the usually arrogant opponent was panting and couldn’t respond right away.
Finally hitting her limit, the woman, who had been vigorously jogging, soon stopped by the roadside.
“Heh, in New York… Heh, starting a… new life, so, who cares… heuk……”
Kneeling and bowing, Sugyeong gasped for breath for a long time. Not something to commend, Junghyuk waited silently until she could engage in a normal conversation.

“I’m sure you received the merger contract. By the way, there’s a party at a downtown hotel tonight. The mayor is expected to attend, so I got an invitation. And two days later, there’s a meeting with the mayor.”
Having only worked for a short time in the temporary office prepared by the governor after leaving Korea ten days ago, Isugyeong is Isugyeong. Jogging in Central Park was unexpected, but at least one thing went as planned.
Although he didn’t express it explicitly, Junghyuk was satisfied.
“It’s beyond expectations.”
“The additional staff we recruited here helped a lot. Since it’s a team we used to work with, you don’t need to doubt their lobbying power. Are you okay with continuing to work as a team in the future?”
When the word ‘lobby’ brushed his ears, Junghyuk chuckled, realizing once again that Sugyeong was indeed in New York.
With Sugyeong reporting on the local situation, urgent matters that could be described as a fire on his heels were roughly sorted out.
It was about three hours later when he finished work and left the room. In the strict and businesslike secretary’s office, a singing voice like a cunning fox was spreading.
Approaching silently to muffle his footsteps, Junghyuk peeked his head out from behind the corner.
“Baby whale! Doo-roo-roo doo-roo cute! Doo-roo-roo doo-roo.”

Standing in the middle of the secretary’s office, Siwoo, with his hands on his hips, was playing and joking around with rhythmic movements.
Male lead is a Destined Young Husband (Female-dominant)
One-sentence summary: Wife-master, listen to my explanation!
Li Ruantang, a young lady from a prestigious family, stumbled and fell. When she woke up, she saw a noble and beautiful young man sitting by her bedside, wiping away tears.
The young master had slightly reddened eyes, and his every move exuded charm.
The sight made Li Ruantang’s eyes hot and her heart flutter. After all, she had made a bet with the young master Meng from the neighboring family. If she couldn’t marry a husband before the end of the year, she would have to admit defeat and give up the jade she had worked so hard to obtain.
Outside the window, the flowers were in full bloom.
Rather than losing the bet, the jade, and her face, Li Ruantang calculated that it would be better to seek marriage with the young master in front of her, killing three birds with one stone.
…
Meng Jun never thought that an accident during a spring outing would lead to them rolling down a cliff and into a river, yet still survive.
Now they were trapped in an unknown village, and Meng Jun had overheard that the family who had rescued them had their own intentions.
After all, it was Li Ruantang who had lost her mind and sought marriage first. He was only trying to protect himself!
Glancing at Li Ruantang, who was listing her own merits, the young husband’s voice softened, and he blushed as he lied, “W-wife-master, Wife-master, don’t you remember me?”
The young husband’s voice was clear and handsome, coaxing Li Ruantang’s heart to be soft and sweet, and she spared no effort to protect him.
It wasn’t until they returned to the capital that Li Ruantang suddenly remembered.
When they had fallen off the cliff, in order not to implicate Wei Yunruo, whom he secretly admired, the young husband had instead pulled her, who was slightly farther away, down the cliff with him…
Short summary by Yuushi L: Initially, the male lead (ML) liked another girl, while the female lead (FL) liked the ML. Both fell off a cliff. The FL temporarily lost her memory, and the ML, fearing others might take advantage of him, claimed FL was his wife while they were staying in a village. However, during their time living together in the countryside, the ML’s view of the FL had completely changed. From this point, his pursuit of the FL begins.
