Soo Yeon protested—not quite a protest—her voice brimming with wounded indignation.

Yet In Ho’s expression showed no sign of softening.

She just wanted to cry, but for entirely different reasons now.

When she’d left Seongbuk-dong for this new home—their newlywed house—she’d been lost in beautiful dreams.

She’d planned to recount every heartwarming detail of her encounter with Young Sun to In Ho, so they could savor the lingering emotion together.

She’d even hoped that, while sharing quiet, intimate conversation, she might drift peacefully to sleep in In Ho’s warm embrace.

But reality had turned out so painfully different from her expectations.

She had no idea how to soothe In Ho, whose mood seemed thoroughly sullen.

In Ho deliberately piled on descriptors designed to make Soo Yeon feel awkward.

Nam Dong Hoon’s presence clearly grated on him, yet he couldn’t very well demand an explanation from Soo Yeon about who exactly that guy was.

So In Ho decided to temporarily set aside both his irritation toward Dong Hoon and his worry over Soo Yeon.
