Early morning.
Su Yeon opened her eyes to the sunlight pouring through the window.
While struggling to shake off the lingering drowsiness, she felt an arm wrapped around her waist.
Lifting her heavy eyelids, her vision soon cleared.
And there was In Ho.
“Did you sleep well?”
Propped up on one arm, In Ho was lying on his side, gazing intently at her.
Su Yeon’s mind instantly became alert.
The thought that he had been watching her like this made her feel embarrassed, not knowing what to do with herself.
Her eyes roamed in search of something to say, and then she noticed the clock on the opposite wall.
It was already past nine o’clock.
“In Ho, aren’t you getting ready? Myung Woo will be here soon…….”
Su Yeon, who had been looking at In Ho, hurriedly shifted her gaze.
She couldn’t keep looking at him.
His gaze towards her was too affectionate.
“I should. I will.”
In Ho replied as if whining.
Yet, he didn’t move, not even an inch.
It seemed like he didn’t want to.
Su Yeon didn’t have time to wonder about it.
He spoke again.
“What are you doing today?”
“Today?”
“Yeah. After I go to the set.”
Su Yeon looked puzzled by his unexpected question.
“Why do you ask?”
“I was thinking, if you don’t have anything special planned, maybe you could come to the set with me.”
In Ho hesitated for a moment before making the suggestion.
It was a completely unexpected offer.
“…To the set?”
Su Yeon repeated, pondering.
She hadn’t planned anything specific for the day.
The fact that their bodies had returned to normal was itself an unexpected event from last night. What plans could she have made?
But the idea of following In Ho to the set didn’t appeal to her.
Suddenly, she thought of Yeong Seon.
“No, I think I’d better stay home today.”
“Why? Do you have something to do?”
In Ho asked, sounding quite displeased.
His expression, unexpectedly cute, made Su Yeon smile despite herself, but she nodded.
“I’m going to the department store.”
“Why the department store?”
“I want to buy something nourishing for your mother. I can’t just ignore it when I heard she’s not feeling well.”
“What for? You heard her say to stay away for a while.”
“Even so, how can I just sit around knowing that? I didn’t know before, but now I do, so I have to go.”
Su Yeon shook her head and got up from her place.
Having decided what to do, she felt a sense of urgency.
If she wanted to get to Seongbuk-dong before lunchtime after stopping by the department store, she had to hurry.
With that thought, she headed straight to the bathroom, but she felt In Ho rising to follow her.
“You mean you’ll go to Seongbuk-dong after the department store?”
“Yes.”
“Then how about staying there until I can pick you up after my shooting?”
Su Yeon suddenly stopped in her tracks.
‘Stay in Seongbuk-dong until he picks me up?’
That sounded so out of place that Su Yeon furrowed her brows.
Just a moment ago, he was adamant about not going to Seongbuk-dong.
But now he’s saying to stay there until he comes to pick her up.
And the sudden suggestion to go to the set seemed odd too.
If she went to the set, all she would do was sit in the van and wait.
She began to think his behavior was a continuation of yesterday.
Su Yeon turned around to face In Ho.
“In Ho, stop it and tell me honestly. What happened yesterday?”
Worry was evident on Su Yeon’s face as she asked.
In Ho inwardly flinched, caught off guard.
He didn’t like the idea of leaving Su Yeon alone.
If they hadn’t switched bodies, it would have been Su Yeon who unexpectedly met Hye Kyung.
He didn’t want to leave Su Yeon in such a risky situation.
But he couldn’t bring himself to openly talk about what happened yesterday.
He had resolved not to ignore Su Yeon under the guise of respect anymore, but the behavior Hye Kyung exhibited yesterday was so far beyond normal that he couldn’t bring himself to tell Su Yeon.
Considering how she had only recently started to brighten up, he feared the mention of Hye Kyung would make her lose her expression again.
So, he wasn’t ready to talk about it yet.
He thought it best to first look for a way to resolve it on his own.
“No, it’s not that.”
“In Ho.”
“It really isn’t. I just want to be with you all the time. I don’t like being apart, even for a moment.”
In Ho, though being dishonest, didn’t show any awkwardness.
It was a lie, but not entirely.
At least the part about not wanting to be apart from Su Yeon was true.
Perhaps his sincerity reached her; Su Yeon’s cheeks turned pink.
“Are you going to follow me to the shower too?”
In Ho chuckled at her sudden comment.
‘Was I too honest?’
He thought it was amusing that after whispering love all night, such a small matter could fluster him so much. Yet, her fumbling was endearingly cute.
It made him want to tease her more.
“I need to shower too. I don’t like the small bathroom in the master bedroom.”
“Then, In Ho, you use the bathroom in the living room!”
“You always shower in the living room bathroom.”
“No, it’s okay. I can use the one in the master bedroom today…”
“Let’s shower together, why not?”
In Ho’s lips curled playfully at the end of his sentence.
Male lead Asks for a Divorce Every Day
It’s not often you come across a plot like this in the female-dominant genre — make sure to check it out!
This is a novel I’m planning to reread as well.
The male lead is strong, skilled in martial arts, and not the usual fragile type you often see in matriarchal novels.
Meanwhile, the female lead is a scientist—rational and logical. Even when she falls for the male lead, she doesn’t let her emotions cloud her decisions.
If you push through the first few chapters, you’ll gradually find the story really intriguing.
It has a mix of mystery, detective elements, and romance.
The author’s writing style is like crafting a puzzle—except they deliberately leave out a few pieces, making it hard to predict what happens next, yet keeping you hooked.
In the end, everything will come together and be explained.
One-sentence summary: Wife, stop playing with beakers and look at me!
In a laboratory accident, research scientist Zhu Wansheng accidentally travels to a matriarchal world. The original owner of the body is an eighteen-year-old only daughter of a wealthy rouge merchant, already married with a handsome young man.
Zhu Wansheng grins: Nice! She always said she was heaven’s favorite granddaughter. After a life of toil in her previous life, she can enjoy blessings in this one.
However, her joy lasts no more than three seconds as bad news arrives: the original owner’s family is about to go bankrupt, and her husband wants a divorce.
Even worse, she’s stuck with a research system full of restrictions.
Zhu Wansheng: ? Is this the destiny of a research dog?
——
Faced with this mess, Zhu Wansheng pours herself a bowl of wine to drown her sorrows. In her drunken haze, her husband arrives.
His figure is imposing, holding a long sword, with a dignified air that captivates Zhu Wansheng.
Gu Yingqing, however, looks at the alcohol-reeking Zhu Wansheng with undisguised disgust and coldly asks, “Divorce or not?” The intoxicated Zhu Wansheng mumbles vaguely, “I think… it’s not… it’s not… impossible!”
——
The next day, after sobering up, Zhu Wansheng is full of energy, rolling up her sleeves ready to make a big move. As for yesterday? She has no memory of it.
Zhu Wansheng is ambitious; a research dog fears nothing!
Upgrading rouge, extracting fragrances, producing perfumes, researching lipsticks… all shall bow to the power of modern technology!
The original owner’s dying rouge shop is revitalized. Her mother is pleased and with a wave of her hand, passes on the family business to her. As she takes control and her experimental results gain popularity, it’s the pinnacle of her life…
——
But there are always those who can’t stand to see her doing well. Jealousy, scheming, assassination attempts – they want nothing less than her life.
The person who has always kept his distance from her suddenly holds her tightly in his arms, eyes full of concern.
She is unharmed, but he falls into a pool of blood…
Zhu Wansheng feels guilty, “I can grant you one wish.”
Gu Yingqing tentatively circles his arms around her, carefully resting his head in the crook of her neck, pleading softly, “I regret it. Can we not divorce?”
Zhu Wansheng: ? When did I agree to a divorce?

The newly developed rouge is beautifully packaged, and Zhu Wansheng is eager to try it.
Gu Yingqing suddenly appears: “My lady, may I apply it for you?”
Cool fingertips lightly brush her lips. His Adam’s apple bobs as he leans in for a light bite.
Zhu Wansheng: ?
Gu Yingqing: It smells so good, I wanted to taste it…
On a warm spring day, Zhu Wansheng tries a new perfume: “Spring Night.” Gu Yingqing corners her against a wall.
Warm breath lingers on her neck.
“My lady, from now on, may I test the fragrances for you?”
