He tilted his head and moved towards the intercom.

He was shocked, his mouth dropping open.

“She just shows up unannounced?”

On the intercom screen was Soo Yeon’s mother-in-law, Hye Kyung.

He was so taken aback by the unexpected visit that he froze, unable to respond.

Meanwhile, the intercom screen turned off.

“Ah…”

A sigh of confusion escaped In Ho’s lips.

It was rude of her to come unannounced, yet he felt uncomfortable for seemingly ignoring an elder.

‘Should I call her back? Ask her to ring the intercom again?’

He debated, but was reluctant.

Then, the doorbell rang again, turning on the intercom screen.
Hye Kyung appeared on the screen with a frown.

Just from her expression, it looked like she knew someone was home and was angry about not having the door opened.

In Ho felt uneasy, thinking it might be impolite to ignore her again, as it would bother him all day.

Eventually, he decided to open the door.

“Are you okay? Are you hurt?”

Soo Yeon, who had nearly jumped out of the van, knelt beside a staff member who had fallen not far away.

“Yes, I’m fine.”

“Can you stand up? It looks like your knee is bleeding.”

“No, no, it’s okay. I just tripped while hurrying… Ah, is the bag okay? It would be serious if it got damaged.”

Soo Yeon couldn’t take her eyes off the staff member’s torn pants, revealing a deep wound on his knee.

It looked bad enough to need medical attention, but the staff member was more concerned about the spilled props.

“Let me help you up. We should probably go to the hospital.”

“I’m really okay. Ah, what should I do now? The director will be furious.”

The young male staff member, who seemed to be in his early twenties, ignored Soo Yeon’s words, clutching the damaged bag with a distressed look.

Soo Yeon felt sorry for him, his knee bleeding profusely while he worried more about the bag.

However, soon she understood why he was so upset.

“Hey, Jun Seo! Why are you dawdling there when I told you to bring the props quickly!”

A sharp shout came from the set.

Both Jun Seo and Soo Yeon turned their heads towards the source of the noise.

A burly, fierce-looking man scowled, and his expression worsened upon seeing the damaged bag in Jun Seo’s hand, cursing under his breath.

Soo Yeon was startled enough to step back.

“Damn it! How could you mess it up like that! We need it for the next scene right now!”

“I’m sorry. Really sorry.”

The man, who had approached them, scolded Jun Seo harshly.

The bag in Jun Seo’s hand had scratches and dirt from being dragged on the ground, but it was nothing compared to his bleeding knee.

Yet neither seemed concerned about his injury.

The man even went as far as to hit Jun Seo on the back of his head.

Soo Yeon couldn’t just stand by and watch.

Just as she was about to intervene.

“Brother! What are you doing here?”

Myung Woo, appearing out of nowhere, asked in bewilderment.

Soo Yeon didn’t respond to Myung Woo but kept her gaze fixed on the angry man.

“Is this prop necessary for the upcoming scene?”

“Ah, In Ho. That’s… Yes. It’s the bag Ms. Shin Yu Ri needs to carry in the scene.”

“Then can’t we postpone that scene and shoot another first?”

“Uh?”
“Considering the situation, it’s not right to worry only about the bag while ignoring a person who’s hurt.”

Soo Yeon’s remark left the man visibly flustered.

“You know better than anyone, In Ho, that changing the shooting schedule is not as easy as it sounds. We’ve already notified the actors about the schedule, and some haven’t even arrived at the set yet. How can we just change it as we please?”

The man argued, his face showing his dilemma.

He wasn’t wrong.

But still, a situation where a bag was prioritized over a person was just not acceptable.

“Then let’s postpone only the scene that needs this bag to the very end. That scene only involves me and Shin Yu Ri anyway.”

“In Ho, as I said, it’s not something we can decide on our own…”

“I’ll speak with the director and Shin Yu Ri. Is that okay now?”

“Uh? Ah, if In Ho is going to handle it, then…”

The man’s face brightened at the response.

Soo Yeon rummaged in her pocket and turned to Myung Woo.

“Myung Woo, sorry to ask, but can you take him to the hospital?”

“To the hospital?”

“Yes. He got pretty hurt from the fall. It doesn’t look like a wound that can be simply treated here.”

“Ah… But what about you?”

“I have to go into shooting.”

“Are you sure you’ll be okay without me?”

Myung Woo asked, his face showing reluctance.

Soo Yeon felt the same reluctance. Having Myung Woo around had been a quiet source of support, and the thought of being alone was daunting.

But she couldn’t just ignore someone who was injured.

“It’s okay. So don’t worry about me and go to the hospital quickly. Oh, and take this.”

“What’s this?”

“My card. After the hospital, don’t come straight back to the set. Go to a nearby department store or somewhere they sell bags and buy the same one. If you can’t find the exact one, get something as similar as possible.”

Soo Yeon glanced at the surly staff member before handing her card to Myung Woo.

Short scene 1:

Feng Bai Su looked at the young man crying like a pear blossom in the rain before her, and couldn’t help but doubt her life.

Wasn’t the male lead described as a cold and otherworldly figure in the book?

Then who was this poor little thing crying with swollen red eyes and tear-stained face?

Short scene 2:

Wei Jing Mo stared intently at Feng Bai Su who was about to go out, wanting to say, “Be careful on the road.”

Before he could speak, Feng Bai Su suddenly bent down and bit his cheek.

Her peach blossom eyes were full of disdain: “Tsk! You’re so clingy!”

Wei Jing Mo: “…”
