“Brother always rushed home after shooting. He would always miss the afterwork dinners. It was even said in jest that newlyweds should enjoy each other. But his wife came to visit the set. I was so curious that I rushed here immediately.”
Upon hearing that In Ho’s wife had come to the set, she couldn’t contain her boiling jealousy and came to find her.
It was clear that the woman had released just that much of her feelings for In Ho.
“To think such a beautiful person is his wife, I would also rush home after work if I were him.”
The woman’s words were filled with courtesy until the end.
However, Su Yeon could not respond.
She did not have the courage to say a word.
She was filled with indescribable feelings that she couldn’t spit out a word, fearing her jumbled feelings might burst out.
What could she possibly say?
She was just a hollow wife……
Instead of answering, Su Yeon just blinked her eyes slowly.
Facing a woman who seemed to hold her husband in her heart, she felt too miserable to describe without saying a word.
“Miss Su Yeon?”
Whether she knew of her feelings or not, the woman’s voice filled with laughter came again.
She had to say something.
Only then would she be able to conclude this uncomfortable confrontation.
“Ah, yes. I was just thinking about something else……”
She blurted out the first thing that came to her mind.
In that moment when she barely managed to respond while trying to exclude the feelings she shouldn’t show to the woman, an unexpected voice caught Su Yeon’s ear.
“Why are you standing there?”
As if it were instinct, Su Yeon raised her head and saw a familiar figure reflected in her eyes.
It was In Ho.
He had been nearby on set with Myeong Woo just moments ago, but now he was in front of her.
Moreover, In Ho had returned to his usual cleancut appearance.
The emotions of the male character who loved the female character Yul Li could not be found anywhere.
Su Yeon could not take her eyes off such an In Ho.
That obvious fact strangely seemed to support her heart.
However, the thing that Su Yeon should be surprised at was not just that.
“What are you doing here?”
In Ho, who couldn’t take his eyes off Su Yeon, suddenly rolled his eyes to the back of her.
He had been with her all along, but his attitude was as if he had no idea about Yul Li’s existence.
“Ha, haha. You really do. Even though your wife is pretty, didn’t you see me?”
Yul Li laughed awkwardly with a face full of embarrassment.
Su Yeon stared at Yul Li.
As soon as their eyes met, Yul Li bit her lower lip.
It was very brief. But Su Yeon didn’t miss that fleeting moment.
Although she was chatting nonchalantly, unlike when she was with me, her eyes were shaking violently.
It wasn’t just me who could see that.
But In Ho didn’t give her any room at all.
“Do you have some free time? Don’t waste your time talking nonsense here. Go home if you’re done shooting.”
The voice towards Yul Li didn’t carry any minor feelings.
So indifferent that Su Yeon felt embarrassed for her.
“Are you hinting that I should leave?”
“If you know, then leave.”
Su Yeon gently caught In Ho’s sleeve.
He didn’t feel the need to comfort or consider Yu Ri, but In Ho’s attitude was excessively cold.
Detecting the meaning of the touch, In Ho puckered his lips once, as if they had a signal of their own, he lightly nodded.
At that sight, Su Yeon was utterly astonished.
Puckering his lips and nodding his head as if he understood.
Anyone who saw this would think he was a whipped husband who would die at his wife’s words.
Not that it wasn’t true, Yu Ri, who saw him like that, furrowed her brows.
“Do you like your wife that much? You are really rude.”
Yu Ri spoke in a sharper voice than before.
She must have been seriously wounded in her pride.
Despite that, In Ho furrowed his brows once and spoke in a cold tone.
“Go see.”
The message conveyed to Yu Ri was merely that.
At the end of his words, it seemed like he didn’t care that Yu Ri’s expression was bitterly twisted.
In Ho turned his head straight towards Su Yeon.
Su Yeon felt flustered at seeing In Ho like this.
It was inevitable.
How long did it take for him to move his gaze from Yu Ri, who was almost standing next to him, to her?
Assuredly, it wouldn’t have taken even a few seconds.
However, in that short span, the indifferent expression and coldness that had been directed towards Yu Ri were completely erased from In Ho’s face.
Could that be it?
“I’m sorry. You waited long.”
The warm gaze that had never been seen on Yu Ri was directed towards Su Yeon.
His affection didn’t end there.
“Let’s go. You look very tired.”
Su Yeon looked at In Ho’s hand extended towards her with a complicated gaze.
It felt strange.
It was her husband’s hand, but at the same time, it was an incredibly unfamiliar hand.
Thinking about when she had last held that hand felt incredibly distant.
But, could she hold it?
Su Yeon bit her lower lip.
She couldn’t take any action readily.
She wanted to hold it. Her heart, filled with Seo In Ho, told her to hold his hand numerous times.
Yet, she hesitated.
It felt like she would dream a bloated dream once she held this hand.
She was scared. The wounds that seemed to be awaiting her because she dreamed an unallowed dream already felt painful and agonizing.
But, in the end, she had no choice but to hold it.
“Su Yeon.”
His throaty voice was incredibly sweet.
It felt like his words, which he had never spoken before, promising that there would be no harm to her from now on, seeped into her ears.
“Let’s go.”
In Ho said with a light smile.
Clasping her small hand placed on his large one.
Su Yeon didn’t know how to calm her heart that seemed about to burst.
Unaware of her internal struggle, In Ho intertwined his thin fingers and put a ring on it.
Su Yeon’s cheeks blushed shyly.
She had to face Yu Ri’s frighteningly twisted face as she was led by In Ho’s hand and passed by Yu Ri, but she had no thoughts at all.
The hand that was so closely intertwined that not a single gap could be found felt incredibly good, so much so that her heart was about to burst.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!
The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
