“Saint. Please make the demons who wear the guise of humans stand in the light, and receive the deserved punishment.”
Saint Beril.
Her white dress, reaching down to her knees, was gently swaying in the wind blowing from outside.
[God does not reject His creation.]The temple built with that meaning was wide open.
The outside scenery was visible under the seemingly endless white ceiling, as if speaking of the authority of God.
The once brightly blooming green was turning brown.
The season was passing, and the outside wind was blowing.
‘It seems like I’m outside if I step just a few steps away.’
Beril withdrew her gaze directed outside.

It was an outside she had never seen with her own feet in half her life.
After being appointed as a saint in this place following the trust in God, she had never been outside the temple.
Because if a saint feels the worldly wind, she becomes corrupt.
But not anymore.
She had a mission now.
[The saint is the world’s hope who can recognize and prevent the devil.]Demons that had been hiding in the human world for a long time.
Those who secretly manipulated humans from behind, causing chaos, and profiting from it.
The temple wanted to uproot them.
So they finally selected three families with ‘unhuman strength and influence’ and offered them to the saint.

“Which of these families do you see as the family of the devil?”
Three sheets of paper shook before Beril.
Beril knew.
The fact that she would marry the head of the family she chose here.
Purifying their power while monitoring the devil, and on the ‘special day when God’s power descends’, only known to the saint, offering them on the altar to seal the gates of hell forever. That was her mission.
[Orobas] [Yubar] [Vainka]She examined the pictures of the lords placed on the paper.
“We are waiting for your choice.”

The priests bowed their heads in unison.
They didn’t know, but for Beril, this was the third moment of choice.
It meant this was her third life.
And the previous two lives were no different from hell for her.
Even though the two families she chose were not devil families.
‘Orobas.’
First, the first life.
The first she pointed out as a devil was Orobas.
They were not a devil’s family. But the Duke of Orobas, who accepted her as his bride.
‘A saint. A noble saint, right? Untouched by anyone.’

He was one who had a terrible character wall.
That fact was exposed by his servants, and he was branded a devil.
And before being executed.
‘No one else can touch what’s mine.’
For such a ridiculous reason, he killed her.
He was a person, but worse than a devil.
But when she died and opened her eyes, it was this moment again.
Thus began her second life.
‘Yubar.’
The next one she chose was Yubar.

But the Duke of Yubar was not a devil either. Instead, he was a devil worshiper who wanted to become a devil.
‘Isn’t a saint sufficient as an offering to hell?’
Running from him, revealing his true intentions, Beril fled.
She ran until her pure white feet bled and arrived at the temple to ask for help, but.
‘Yubar is trying to become a devil!’
‘A saint?’
The temple, instead of welcoming the fleeing her, rejected her.
‘A saint fleeing from a devil?’
‘Have you lost the power of the saint by corruption?’
That was the last cry of the priests she heard before ending her second life.

She was married, and with a devil worshiper, but still, they doubted her, even though all of it was the temple’s will.
And they offered her as a sacrifice to God to seek forgiveness, calling her ‘remnant of the devil’.
―Poof!
The creepy feeling of the dagger approaching her heart on the altar was still vivid.
And when her blood touched the altar, and her vision blurred, she saw the gates of hell opening.
At the forefront of those who came out of there was a man with a green eye.
He was the Duke of Vain.
The devil…
When she realized that, her life was already fading.
Those from the temple who offered her as a sacrifice were panicked and fleeing.
They never intended to help me or catch the demon from the beginning.

They were only looking for a sacrifice, captivated by the belief that offering a demontainted person to God would allow them to go to heaven.
“Saint Beril?”
So began her third life, now.
She knew not only where the true demon family was but also that these priests were planning to offer her as a sacrifice.
It’s not funny at all.
Catch an evil demon?
A human disguised as a demon. A demon disguised as a human.
Who is truly evil?
“Demon…….”
[Vainka]ads
The answer is here.
Vainka is the demon’s family.
If she chooses him, she will walk into hell of her own accord.
But if she must marry one of the three lords, and if the two options are both equivalent to hell where people are reincarnated…
Wouldn’t real hell be better?
At least in her last two lives, Vainka never shouted to kill the saint.
Even though they were the real demons.
“I will.”
Beril’s lips opened.
“I will go to Vainka.”

When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
