Tae Hyuk opened his eyes to the blazing morning sunlight and felt lousy, still groggy from last night’s drinking.

Remembering what had happened the previous night, he quickly washed his face in irritation.

“What the hell did I even say?”

He felt like he’d spilled every secret he wasn’t supposed to.

No wonder they say “truth comes out when drunk.” Those embarrassingly cheesy words were definitely something he’d never say with a clear head.

Stumbling to his feet, he opened the door and stepped out to get some water.

Heading to the kitchen, Tae Hyuk froze in place when he saw breakfast laid out neatly on the dining table.

It was dried pollack soup.

Reading the note clearly left by Na Young——the corners of his mouth lifted slowly.

“What’s this? Is she not mad anymore?”

Or maybe it was a warning: if he drank again and ignored her calls, he’d get nothing next time.

Either way, even her scolding felt affectionate, and he didn’t mind it at all.

Tae Hyuk sat down at the table and began eating the dried pollack soup.

Tasting the saltiness, he was certain—it was definitely made by Na Young herself.
