Thinking Eun Byeol might have gone to a secluded place if she had really disappeared on her own, Na Young checked mainly in places where people didn’t usually go.
Just as Na Young was walking down the hallway after leaving the recovery room, she stopped in her tracks when she saw Professor Yoon Hye Won approaching from the opposite direction.
She seemed to be looking for Eun Byeol herself, as she was Eun Byeol’s incharge.
“Why is Professor Moon here?” Yoon Hye Won spoke first upon unexpectedly encountering her.
Na Young replied honestly.
“I heard they were looking for Eun Byeol in the Gastrointestinal Surgery Department, so I was helping them search.”
Yoon Hye Won complimented her with a smile.
“Helping out with other people’s business even when you must be busy. You’re kinder than you seem.”
Kinder than I seem?
Maybe it was because she had negative feelings towards Yoon Hye Won, but her words irritated Na Young.
“I received an emergency call, so I need to go now. Can you look in the direction I just came from while you’re at it?”
Yoon Hye Won pointed towards the direction she had just come from.

Na Young nodded in agreement and then walked towards the research building that Yoon Hye Won had pointed out.
There was an outdoor terrace where the staff could rest, but when she opened the door and stepped out, she found no one there, so she turned to leave.
But then she paused, noticing something in the glass window of the door.
Thin smoke was rising.
Na Young turned her body and examined the small space behind the flowerbed where the smoke was rising from.
There, Eun Byeol, wearing patient clothes, was squatting and smoking a cigarette.
It was more surprising to Na Young that someone could fit in such a narrow place than the fact that a youth star was a smoker.
“Everyone is looking for you right now, Ms. Eun Byeol.”
Busted, Eun Byeol frowned and put out her cigarette on the ground.
“If you spread the word that I smoked, I’ll sue you.”
Her first word was ‘sue’.
Na Young thought it was really fortunate that Eun Byeol was not a patient in the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery Department.

Even though she was famous, she was a person Na Young didn’t want to confront.
Na Young called Seung Hee to inform her that she had found Eun Byeol, and Seung Hee rushed over, expressing her admiration for Eun Byeol and claiming she hadn’t missed any of her dramas.
In front of her fan, even Eun Byeol seemed a bit softer.
Na Young wondered whether to tell Seung Hee about Eun Byeol’s smoking, but eventually she kept her mouth shut.
It wasn’t Eun Byeol’s threat of a lawsuit that scared her, but she thought it would be better the fewer people who knew, considering Eun Byeol’s profession as a celebrity.
While everyone was talking about Eun Byeol, there was another 20yearold patient who was more important to Na Young.
That was Soo Ji’s discharge.
As Soo Ji’s attending physician, it was a great relief that she was finally healthy enough to be discharged after causing so much worry as to require intensive care.
Soo Ji finished her discharge procedures at 11 a.m. and left the hospital.
“Don’t forget your regular hospital checkups, you know you need to come on time, right?”
At her exhortation, Lee Soo Ji nodded her head with a smile.

“I am truly grateful to you and the hospital staff.”
She, in turn, was truly grateful that Lee Soo Ji was able to leave the hospital in good health.
“I would love to see Professor Choi Tae Hyuk just once more before I go, but he must be busy now, right?”
As Lee Soo Ji mentioned the name of Professor Choi Tae Hyuk to the very end, her heart fluttered, but she forced a disappointed look onto her face.
“He’s probably in the operating room right now. See him at your next regular checkup.”
That would be three months from now, and as Lee Soo Ji wore a disappointed expression, her eyes widened looking over Na Young’s shoulder.
Lee Soo Ji raised her hand and waved vigorously, shouting out.
“Doctor! I’m being discharged!”
Na Young turned her head, there was only one person who Lee Soo Ji would be so happy to see.
Professor Choi Tae Hyuk was coming out of the main entrance and walking towards the two of them.
His white doctor’s coat fluttered with each step he took.
He looked more like a warrior in white than an angel in white.
“I know. That’s why I came to see you off.”
At the words spoken by Professor Choi Tae Hyuk standing next to her, Lee Soo Ji wore a touched expression.
“Really?”
There was no way that could be true.

Professor Choi Tae Hyuk had never been the first to remember a patient’s discharge date.
But since Lee Soo Ji was happy about it, Na Young kept her mouth firmly shut.
“Take good care of your health when you get home. Don’t get worse and come back.”
While it might sound like a mere formal farewell, Lee Soo Ji’s eyes turned red immediately.
“Doctor, can I hug you just once before I go?”
He casually reached out his hand.
“We’ll see each other again, so why the last? Just shake hands.”
Lee Soo Ji didn’t refuse and tightly held his hand with both of hers.
“Doctor, could you give me an autograph too?”
“Let’s not overdo it.”
Eventually, after getting scolded by Professor Choi Tae Hyuk, Lee Soo Ji left in a taxi.
She and Professor Choi Tae Hyuk stood looking at the leaving taxi for a while.
“Don’t think that I’ll see you favorably because of this.”
As soon as Lee Soo Ji left, her chilly retort caused Tae Hyuk’s eyes to narrow.
“But you know, aren’t you jealous of Yoon and me because of work?”
Na Young glared at him with genuinely angry eyes before turning and walking into the hospital first.
She could feel Professor Choi Tae Hyuk following her but ignored it, just looking forward as she walked, and then her phone alarm went off in succession.

Na Young took out her phone and checked the message that was posted on the resident group chat.
She paused.
When she stopped, Tae Hyuk also stopped, sneakily glancing at the phone screen she was looking at.
The residents’ group chat would only go wild when something happened at the hospital.
“Whether a celebrity smokes or not, why is it such a big deal?”
There was an uproar because a post about Eun Byeol smoking was put up on an anonymous internet forum.
“It’s me.”
Tae Hyuk, hearing Na Young’s muttering, lowered his head to look at her profile.
“What?”
Na Young’s face, as she raised her head to look at him, was pale.
“I am the one who found Eun Byeol hiding and smoking behind the terrace garden. But I didn’t post anything like this on the internet.”
Tae Hyuk’s eyes furrowed.
He had a bad feeling, a very unpleasant one.
