“It’s way past dinnertime. Did you skip eating too?”

Because she’d fallen asleep, it looked like Jun Hwi had missed dinner as well. Feeling guilty, Yeon Woo knocked on the study door and peeked her head in.

“I’m so sorry! I must’ve dozed off without even realizing! I really meant to stay awake and wait for you until you finished everything…”

Seeing Yeon Woo, he relaxed his otherwise perfectly upright posture—he’d been alternating between looking at his laptop and some documents. He took off his glasses and rubbed the deep corners of his eyes, looking exhausted.

“What are you talking about? You were clearly sound asleep.”

“Nah.” Jun Hwi chuckled softly, pulled Yeon Woo by the arm, and settled her onto his lap. Yeon Woo surrendered obediently, as if she couldn’t help it.

“It’s the weekend, yet you didn’t even get proper rest. C Pharma really is the worst.”
