The mail window popped up on Yeon Woo’s monitor, filled densely with content.

The recipient was Cha Han Bin. Just as Yeon Woo had resolved, she was about to confront him—but first, she intended to send him an email containing evidence of his misconduct.

All that remained was clicking the ‘Send’ button—yet, strangely, her finger hesitated right before clicking.

‘No. Send it. Send it, then go confront him. Don’t let yourself get played like a fool anymore.’

Yeon Woo shook her head firmly, quickly pulled herself together, and clicked the mouse without delay.

Once actually sent, it didn’t feel like a big deal anymore. In fact, she felt oddly relieved.

Now it was finally time to go meet Cha Han Bin face-to-face.

As Yeon Woo stood up from her seat, her eyes met Attorney Yang, who happened to be approaching her desk.

Attorney Yang invited her to dinner—an intimate gathering exclusively for the female members of the Special Task Room, and she’d extended invitations to Yeon Woo and Ji Eun as well.

“It’ll just be us girls enjoying wine and delicious food, chatting casually and having a genuinely fun time. It’s absolutely not a company dinner—let’s have a proper ladies’ night out. Sounds fun, right?”

“But, Attorney, I haven’t actually participated in the Special Task Room’s work. Is it really okay for me to join?”

“Ji Eun, what are you talking about? Of course you can come.”

Judging from Ji Eun’s sparkling eyes, she clearly wanted to go—but seemed hesitant to attend alone, and secretly hoped Yeon Woo would come too.
