As expected, Yeon Woo’s name was not on the list of those promoted.

“Let’s just stuff ourselves with your favorite beef at tonight’s dinner party.”

“You’ll definitely get it next year!”

“They say getting promoted to team leader is usually tough.”

In the break room, in the restroom—every person Yeon Woo ran into kept offering condolences, which only made her feel embarrassed. No matter how much she insisted she was fine, they kept grabbing her hands, patting her back, and even trying to hug her.

So Yeon Woo decided to cheerfully declare she’d drink heavily at the dinner party. She did feel a bit conflicted—and admittedly, a bit thirsty for alcohol.

While replying to Cha Han Bin, her eyes fell on the canned coffee sitting on her desk. Her typing slowed.

It was the coffee Kwon Jun Hwi had given her on the rooftop. He’d given her two—she’d drunk one right away that day, and the other had remained neatly placed where she could easily see it on her desk.
