Tame or Be Captured (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 064
Looking at Karaf’s face, which seemed devoid of spirit, Asha slowly confessed everything.
Every single event from the past, all the way to its tragic ending—without omitting a single detail…
As he listened, Karaf’s expression shifted constantly, overwhelmed by shock.
He felt as if he didn’t truly exist in this space at all, enveloped by a strange sensation, his mind blank and utterly paralyzed.
Though the story was utterly unbelievable to him, Asha’s expression was so calm as she spoke that he even felt fear.
When the tale finally ended, his face had turned as pale as a ghost—as if all the blood had drained from his fingertips to his toes.
Although it was Jackal who had bled, Karaf himself now looked like a phantom, utterly devoid of color.
Everything inside him had collapsed.
It felt as if a massive thorn had pierced straight into his chest.
It was just like the nail his mother had driven into his heart as a child—now buried so deeply it could never be pulled out again.
His body had grown so cold that he could no longer feel anything, leaving him uncertain whether he was even alive.
Silence flowed between the two of them.
Through the small, square window, a cold winter wind slipped in, brushing past them like a bitter gust.
It was a deep, dark silence that seemed it would never end.
After a long while without uttering a word, Karaf finally staggered out of the prison, dragging his boots listlessly behind him.

One-line summary: Male lead chases female lead. The male lead’s love is a bit sick, an invincible love brain.
Synopsis
During a voyage at sea, Jiang Yang accidentally captures a merman.
Servant: I heard that mermen are fierce and brutal.
Jiang Yang looks at the merman obediently rubbing her palm like a puppy: “You call this fierce and brutal?”
Servant: I heard that mermen have no human nature.
Jiang Yang looks at the merman with wet puppy eyes, obsessively calling her ‘A Yang’ like a childish infant: “You call this having no human nature?”
With great difficulty, she releases the merman back into the sea and returns to shore.
Who would have thought that in less than half a month, the merman, who should have been freely wandering in the South China Sea, would shed his scales, endure the pain of losing his tail, transform into human legs, and come ashore to find her?
He kneels at her feet, rubbing her palm, with merman tears rolling down: “A Yang, don’t abandon me.”

Not practically, it is a form of torture. Jackel didn’t jump into the water on his own while tied to the boulder.
It seems backward that the Empress is invited to a Duchess’ tea party.
What terrible phrasing. ‘He couldn’t possibly take her…’ She is the empress of the empire, Jackel needs to get with the program. She has shown herself to be stronger and more resilient than anyone else in this novel.
