Jackal’s pride was hurt by the suggestion to eat what had fallen on the floor, and he turned his head away sharply.
Karaf’s face scrunched up at the sight.
“That guy….”
He had simply offered an act of kindness, but the response was utterly rude.
Asha quickly spoke as if to excuse him.
“Shep only eats what I give him.”
“Huh, really….”
He thought it was an incredibly finicky statement.
Karaf was so incredulous that he could say nothing except clicking his tongue.
In the meantime, Asha picked a candy with a purple hyacinth petal in it and wore a faintly wistful expression.
Jackal realized that she was thinking of him as she looked at the flower, and his face grew sad.
“Shep, say ‘ah’.”
As Asha stroked his nose bridge and held out the candy in her palm, Shep, acting as if nothing had happened, stuck out his tongue and took the candy.
Seeing that, Karaf felt jealousy bubbling up inside him again.
Wasn’t that a gesture of affection that lovers would do?
He was now forcibly holding back the desire to put the candy directly into Asha’s mouth, while that rascal’s speech was flaunting in front of him.
Karaf’s knuckles went white as he suddenly imagined Asha saying ‘ah’ and taking the candy from his mouth.
From there, a lewd imagination of passing it from mouth to mouth continued, and he stopped in his tracks, his eyes widening.
It was clear he had gone mad.
He had longed for physical contact so much that he had such a thought, and his face suddenly turned serious.
But then, the horse that had been eating the candied flowers suddenly sneezed.
Asha’s eyes widened as she asked.
“Shep? Are you really feeling unwell?”
Jackal continued to cough.
‘I’m going crazy because of the pollen….’
In fact, he had ‘pollen allergy.’
Horses are animals with a keen sense of smell, so to him, who had transformed into a horse, the pollen was fatal.
He would not have been able to eat the candied flowers in his original horse form, but he was happy to accept it since it was from Asha.
But he could not endure the rose scent emanating from Karaf’s body and the poisonous pollen.
Karaf then realized that he was spraying pollen from his body and was taken aback.
In his jealousy, he had unwittingly shot pollen from his body like thorns….
Asha felt it too and looked back at him with slightly widened eyes.
“Could it be… Your Majesty….”
Karaf quickly covered his loosened front hair as he spoke.
“Once a month, my pollen becomes intense. It’s like an instinct of being a flower….”
He did not explain what that instinct was.
It was ‘the instinct of species reproduction,’ where the flower disperses pollen for fertilization.
But Asha didn’t catch on and covered her mouth and innocently laughed.
“Once a month… it’s like watching a woman’s period.”
Karaf stared at her with a bewildered expression but turned red as he looked at her suppressing her laughter.
“…Think as you wish. It’s true that my body is strange. It’s not like I want to be this way.”
Karaf ended his speech and quickly turned back, running his hand through his hair.
He was worried that the pollen sticking to his head would look like dandruff.
And as expected, when he found the pollen stuck to his head, he cursed and nervously brushed his bangs.
Meanwhile, Jackal continued to snort and blow his nose behind him.
Asha took out a handkerchief and lovingly wiped his nose, and Jackal’s eyes narrowed in embarrassment.
A man who snivels in front of the woman he likes. He was really pathetic. It was a good thing he was in the form of a horse now.
Watching Shep continue to sneeze, Asha asked with concern.
“Shep, shall we go inside?”
Jackal shook and nodded his head.
He didn’t want to be unable to be by her side just because of that damn pollen.
I had to be nearby at all times to make sure that no spy appeared again, or that the tyrant didn’t do anything terrible to Asha.
But that was when it happened.
From afar, a knight hurriedly rushed toward them.
“Your Majesty! The spy has spoken……!”
Karaf’s face turned serious as he looked at the knight and asked,
“Is that true?”
“Yes! It was the work of the ethnic minority again!”
As the knight was reporting, he spotted Asha beside him and hurriedly bowed his head with an ‘Ah.’
He had made a sensitive report in front of Vanessa, who was from the ethnic minority.
Though the knight didn’t know what to do, Asha’s face had already turned pale.
‘The ethnic minority was the culprit……?’
Jackal, who was also planning a retrieval operation disguised as a kind of kidnapping, looked at the knight with a shocked face.
There were setbacks in the plan due to the unexpected appearance of a spy from the ethnic minority.
Asha did not understand why the ethnic minority had tried to kidnap her.
Since the news that she was from the ethnic minority had already spread throughout the imperial palace, there could only be deliberate targeting.
Karaf spoke with a stern face,
“I will interrogate him myself. Let’s go now.”
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
