At dawn, the unexpected sound of knocking roused the sleeping servants, who all scrambled up and gathered in the lounge.

“Your Majesty! What’s going on here?”

Tyrant Karaf, who had been standing with his back turned, glanced back, still in his pajamas.

At his imposing gaze, the servants all flinched, immediately bowing their heads.

Karaf looked around them and spoke in a dignified voice.

“I’ve come to find Asha. Where is she now?”

The servants were surprised that the emperor had personally come to find a mere servant in the middle of the night, but no one answered his question.

Seeing them just glancing at each other, he spoke angrily.

“Lead me to her room at once.”

Upon arriving at Asha’s quarters, Karaf flung open the door without knocking.

He thought that the reason the servants had reacted that way was that she wasn’t in this room.

And his guess was accurate.

Karaf’s face hardened at the sight of the room, in total disarray.

Anyone could see that she hadn’t messed it up.

Just by looking at how she organized his office and bedroom, one could tell her neat and meticulous nature.

Moreover, she wouldn’t have dirtied the room he had given her. It was clearly a trace of harassment.

Durani muttered gravely from behind.

“Where on earth could she have gone at this ambitious time……”

“She, she didn’t run away!”

Another servant quickly replied.

It was a statement meant to alleviate the two’s anxiety, but she was unaware that it only further enraged him.

Karaf shouted heavily.

“Where is the head servant now!”

At his stern cry, a woman hurriedly appeared.

It was the woman who had earlier ordered Asha to clean the bath.

She had just woken up, her hair slightly disheveled, and she couldn’t look into Karaf’s eyes, not knowing what to do.

“Where is Asha now.”

“That is… it seems she is still in the outdoor bath.”

“Outdoor bath?”

At the unexpected location, Karaf raised an eyebrow, and her face turned ashen.

Karaf no longer looked at her and headed straight for the outdoor bath.

The servants followed him as if their lives depended on it.

Upon arriving at the bath, they all stopped dead in their tracks.

Far away, they saw a woman who was still alone, cleaning the bath at this late hour.

She was kneeling on the floor, scrubbing the floor with her thin arms, looking somewhat pitiful and forlorn, but even in the dark, her golden hair shone brightly.

Sonya, who hadn’t known that the head servant had ordered such a task, covered her mouth with an almost tearful face.

“What… what are you doing here?”

At the low voice, Asha lifted her head to look at them.

Karaf was standing in the front with an angry face, and behind him, the servants were trembling with fear, unable to lift their eyes.

“Ah…”

Realizing the situation, Asha hesitated for a moment and spoke calmly.

“I was cleaning the bath.”

“…I can see that! My question is, why are you cleaning alone in the middle of the night?”

Asha felt that he was greatly angered right now.

But she couldn’t understand why he was angry.

Was it a psychological thing that he alone could torment his woman?

Asha blinked her eyes with a puzzled face and asked.

“Isn’t that what I’m supposed to do?”

At the naively innocent answer, Karaf closed his mouth.

He knew it was the servants’ doing, but the fact that her words made it seem as though he himself had ordered it hit him harder.

Asha asked nonchalantly.

“By the way, what brings Your Majesty here? Do you have something else for me to do?”

He must have had something to say, but after witnessing such a scene, he couldn’t open his mouth.

“Is it urgent?”

“…No.”

Asha hid her fatigue and tried to speak calmly.

“Please wait just a moment. I’m almost finished.”

She began to scrub the floor even more quickly.

Karaf spotted Asha’s ragged clothes, damp with water.

When he glanced down, her oncewhite hands were all chapped, frozen from the cold.

Even though spring had come, it seemed her condition had worsened from working outside in the chilly weather for long hours.

His expression became even more rigid.

Certainly, her feeble appearance and suffering were what he had wished for.

He thought she would quickly bow down and surrender to him.

But witnessing such a scene in reality, for some reason, he did not feel very good about it.

It felt like he had maliciously destroyed something precious inside himself, like something he owned had been cut in half, and it left him with a miserable feeling.

It was definitely not what he had wanted or anticipated.

He did not want to see it anymore.

Karaf strode over and abruptly grabbed Asha’s hand.

Asha looked up in surprise, but he quietly scanned her hand, full of callouses and blisters.

He spoke in a low voice.

“I told you to attend to my needs, I never told you to clean the bathhouse alone. And yet… what is this that you’re doing now?”

Karaf’s words ended as he glanced at the servants with terrifying eyes.

Seeing his eyes flash, they flinched and bowed their heads in fear.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
