“Shall I tell you?”

Gerald sprang up again.

“Yes!”

Almost cheerfully shouting, Gerald belatedly added in a small voice, feeling embarrassed.

“If you have some spare time, I’d be grateful if you could tell me, even briefly.”

Kirian turned off the light spell that Gerald had cast on the desk.

“Let’s sleep now.”

“Ah, ah, yes…….”

Though Gerald agreed readily, he couldn’t erase the disappointment that was heavily apparent in his voice.

“We have to wake up early tomorrow morning.”

In the pitchblack darkness, Kirian could clearly see Gerald, who was nodding vigorously.

“Yes, yes. You’re so busy.”

Kirian gave a thin smile.

“Prince Gerald, you must wake up, too. There’s a storm coming to the Danev Mountains tomorrow, and you must go along.”

“Yes?”

Still not noticing, Gerald slowly blinked his eyes.

“The Elding hunt, you must do it.”

Kirian smiled slightly as if suggesting a walk. In the darkness, Gerald couldn’t see Kirian’s expression, but he heard his light, carefree voice distinctly.

“Elding… hunt?”

“Can’t you do it?”

Kirian walked to the bed and flopped down, making a tired noise.

“Then don’t.”

Gerald groped for the open encyclopedia he had spread out.

There was no one who knew better than Kirian that the information in the encyclopedia was extremely limited.

It was a book that couldn’t contain even half of what Kirian had naturally learned while subduing monsters from a young age.

And for Gerald, the barely three pages of information about Elding in this encyclopedia had his princehood riding on it.

Hopelessly inadequate.

That’s why his sister had come looking for him, after such a long time.

Swallowing the bitter taste lingering in his mouth, Kirian waited for Gerald’s answer.

“I, I’ll do it.”

Gerald took a short breath. When he exhaled again, it was with resolute determination.

“The Elding hunt. I’ll do it. Teach me.”

Kirian turned to lie on his side and stared absently at the top floor’s light outside the window.

“Alright, then.”

He spread his hand to shield the window, but he couldn’t block all the light seeping through his fingers.

(This is a time separator.)

“How about a field trip?”

The next morning, His asked casually.

“A field trip?”

“Yes. It seems there’s nothing more to find in the library, and we still lack information, so….”

Not wanting to pressure me, His continued cautiously.

“We can visit the areas where the damage from the Elding was severe, gather information, and survey the surrounding geography.”

His hurriedly raised his hand.

“Of course, we don’t have to go—”

“Okay!”

I immediately agreed. Researching more in the library would be a waste of time. Now we had to investigate on foot.

“Um, we need to prepare a lot for the field trip, right?”

I began to list the things we had to prepare, counting on my fingers.

“Carriage and security are essential.”

“No need to prepare.”

I was taken aback by His’s words. It was hard to believe that such an unplanned statement came from the meticulous His.

“Not even preparing—”

“I’ve prepared everything.”

His grinned, extending his arm so I could link mine.

“All Reina has to do is join.”

His wasn’t lying. Thanks to His, who had prepared everything from the carriage to the border toll, we arrived smoothly in a village near the Ksia Kingdom border.

As soon as I got out of the carriage, I took out my notebook and pen.

“Shall we start with interviewing the villagers first? Like where Elding frequently appears or its attack patterns.”

His scratched his cheek, giving an ambiguous smile.

“We’ve just arrived, and all Reina thinks about is work.”

“If we want to gather as much information as possible before sunset, we need to move quickly.”

I looked for people willing to be interviewed, eyeing the passersby on the street, worried there might be none.

His chuckled as if something was funny.

“We have plenty of time. How about we eat first?”

“Eat?”
And just like that, it was almost lunchtime. They say the scenery of Geumgang Mountain is best enjoyed after a meal, so I finally nodded in agreement.

“Let’s find a place that sells sandwiches or something simple.”

(This is a time separator.)

“Hiss…….”

“Yes?”

“What is all this?”

I pointed with a stiff gesture to the myriad dishes placed before me. And it wasn’t just the dishes.

The shop Hiss had taken me to was not a place selling simple snacks but a highend restaurant.

From the gleaming silverware to the sweet melody flowing from the grand piano in one corner, this was not a place to quickly fill our stomachs before getting down to real work.

“You need a full stomach if you want to work hard.”

Hiss blatantly laughed, scooping spicy duck meat onto my plate.

Though I was still suspicious, it was difficult to inquire further, so I began to chew on the duck meat.

However, as time went by, my doubts only grew.

“There’s no one in the restaurant. It’s the busiest time for lunch.”

The food, melting gently in the mouth, seemed popular among people, yet we were the only two sitting in the restaurant.

“Indeed.”

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
