The next day.

Ed left the count’s mansion, bid farewell by Prodia.

“Then, I’ll see you in two days, Miss Prodia.”

“Safe travels.”

Only after Ed’s carriage disappeared from sight did Prodia change her position.

It was time to take out the secret weapon she had prepared.

She quickly returned to her office and sent a telepathic message to Ertis.

[Ertis, please discreetly come to my office.] [Discreetly?]

And shortly after.

The door to the office opened, and Ertis entered.

Prodia whispered to him.

“Please make a single scroll for me to go to DaeSinJeon right now.”

“Why DaeSinJeon? You already know the contents of the trust.”

“Yes, but there’s one more important matter left.”

Prodia murmured softly into his ear.

“Go to DaeSinJeon and… borrow the relic.”

“The relic?”

Ertis was visibly shocked.

The relic? It was likely she meant the lie detector used during ceremonies.

Then Prodia hurriedly covered Ertis’s mouth with her hand.

“Shh! It’ll be problematic if Papier or Luca hears this.”

As Prodia’s skin touched his lips, Ertis felt a surge of emotion, which he had been suppressing.

However, Prodia didn’t notice.

She simply pushed Ertis to a corner far from the entrance and whispered quietly.

“This must remain between the two of us.”

Prodia’s face, staring at me with big eyes, was too close for comfort.

Ertis’s cheeks flushed red.

How could this woman be so sharp-witted but so dense in this regard?

“So… why are you trying to steal it?”

“I’m not stealing it, I’m borrowing it.”

“With the steward’s permission?”

“Obviously not.”

“Then you’re stealing.”

“I’ll return it once we’re done, so it’s fine.”

What was wrong with my contractor Prodia’s morals?

Yet, he found himself contemplating ways to assist her.

When had he become so smitten with her?

“Anyway, it’s urgent.”

“Yes, extremely. It needs to be acquired within two days.”

Before Ed returns here.

However, Ertis shook his head.

“It’s too risky for you to go alone. I’ll go instead.”

“You can’t. What if you experience another negative side effect from the divine power?”

It wasn’t an invalid concern.

“Then let Luca do it. He should know the inside of DaeSinJeon well.”

“I considered that, but what if Papier’s personality emerges while stealing the relic?”

So she was planning to steal it after all.

However, Ertis was resolute.

“No matter what, I’m going.”

As he said this, he began to draw a magic circle on the floor.

At that moment, Prodia hastily grabbed his arm.

“I absolutely can’t let you go alone.”

“Huh? It’s dangerous to do that on the magic circle!”

Ertis tried to hurriedly detach Prodia.

But she clung to his back instead.

Squeeze.

Ertis’s heart trembled again.

“You, what are you doing?”

“If you’re going, then take me with you.”

Now Ertis’s face was about to burst from the flush.

He tried to free his arm from Prodia’s grasp, but she was relentless.

“Let go of this!”

“Promise to take me with you, then.”

Just then.

“…Sister, can you please get away from him?”

Both were startled and turned around. Luca had entered the room and was staring coldly at them.

Prodia hastily let go of Ertis.

Ertis also quickly deactivated the magic circle.

When had Luca been listening?

A tense silence hovered between them.

Luca spoke.

“I’m disappointed. If you needed a relic, you should’ve come to me first. Why go to this mage?”

Damn, he heard everything.

Prodia quickly explained.

“I’m sorry. I couldn’t tell you because Papier might appear.”
“Right, understood. But even if that wizard goes to the alternate world, how will he know the location of the artifact?”

Ertis’s reaction was nonchalant.

“Just use detection magic.”

“And if you’re caught by the Regent, what then? Just leave this matter to me. At least then, if we’re discovered, we’ll have an excuse.”

That was true.

Even if Papier appeared, they would never suspect he was there to steal an artifact.

Prodia had made up her mind.

“Well then… I hate to ask, but I’ll leave it to you, Luca.”

“I didn’t say I’d do it for free.”

Luca moved closer to Prodia.

“Bring me the artifact, and then come sightseeing in the capital with me, Sis.”

So he was asking for a date.

Prodia rolled her eyes.

“I’ll go to the alternate world alone.”

“Just this once, okay?”

He was persistently wheedling, wanting to go out with Prodia.

Hearing Luca’s persistence more and more, Prodia found her resolve softening.

‘He must have felt suffocated being confined in the alternate world this whole time.’

After all, what harm was there in going out just once?

Just as Prodia was about to reluctantly accept Luca’s request, Ertis quickly opened a magical circle.

“…I’ll go to the alternate world alone.”

As he said this, Ertis stepped into the magic circle.

Just then, Luca shouted in haste.

“Wa, wait! Ah, I lost.”

Luca hurriedly pulled something from his pocket.

It was, indeed,

“An artifact…?”

Seeing the artifact, Ertis leapt back out of the magic circle.

Prodia, too, wore an astonished expression.

“Why do you have it, Luca?”

“Um… well…”

Luca awkwardly grinned as he spoke.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
