“Isn’t that right?”

“Absolutely not. Not at all.”

Russell’s lips twitched ever so slightly upon noticing Summer’s serious expression, as if he were barely holding back a laugh.

“Summer, wait a moment.”

Russell gently caught hold of Summer’s sleeve and pointed toward the fountain. Summer, whose feet were aching in her tall heels, obediently followed Russell’s lead.

Plopping herself onto the small marble fountain, Summer immediately blurted out—before Russell could even speak—with a tone of clear distaste.

“Don’t get involved. It’s annoying.”

A male lead who would waste fifty whole episodes just to deal with one rival bothering the female lead?

“I must have misunderstood. I thought you’d developed feelings for Duke Lancaster and were about to end your life over it.”

“How could that be? Am I Juliet? Would I really throw away something precious over something as trivial as love?”

“Juliet?”

Russell, who had never heard of Romeo and Juliet, tilted his head in confusion.

“Yeah, something like that exists.”
