Based on this lead, Teron investigated further and realized that Licasen’s heart hadn’t simply been buried haphazardly in the forest.

Licasen’s heart had been buried beneath the Silent Forest alongside a device devised by that very inventor serving under the Emperor.

This device reversed the endless flow of magic emanating from the core within Licasen’s heart, causing the heart’s location to shift randomly throughout the forest whenever the magic concentration reached a certain threshold—making it impossible for anyone to easily find it.
