“Um… Reus….”

“I’m listening. Speak.”

“If I’d wanted to let it go, I wouldn’t have brought it up in the first place.”

“I just… couldn’t decide how to handle this on my own… so I wanted to talk it over with you.”

Perhaps because I had clearly stated I didn’t intend to ignore it, Reus’s anger seemed to lessen slightly.

“But… I also thought it wouldn’t be right to make Lady Elia bear all the consequences alone. So, I meant to suggest discussing how to resolve this after hearing everything—certainly issue a warning to Elia, and negotiate with Viscount and Viscountess Pillaren to find the best possible compromise for their punishment….”
