Stop Coming On to Me (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 29
He hadn’t expected her quiet retreat to leave him feeling this hollow. Rocard wore a blank expression.
Rorisha, having returned from the shop, handed him a heavy book wrapped in cloth.
When Rocard took it and gave a faint smile, Rorisha turned away with a cold face and walked straight inside.
“Please be careful on your way!”
Rocard chuckled softly, as if scratching his throat, and urged his horse forward.
Upon arriving at the Imperial Palace, he unwrapped the cloth to take a look.
“The Life of a Happy Empress—Empress Quinna’s Autobiography”
Rocard also stopped by Whinid’s study. Unlike Rorisha, Whinid hadn’t surrendered so readily.
He had been clutching a book detailing the late Emperor’s final illness—one surrounded by rumors about the circumstances of his death—but finally handed it over with a tearful expression. His hands trembled violently as they gripped the book.
“J-Just a few more days…”
“Tch.”
“Huh.”
Only then did Rocard head toward the Imperial Archives, carrying both books.
He’d intended merely to return the books to their proper places and go straight home to rest. After all, enduring days of final exams like a guerrilla campaign had genuinely worn him out.
But once inside the archives, he opened Empress Quinna’s autobiography and ended up sitting right down at the reading desk. He didn’t leave the palace until deep into the night.

Day 3: What’s wrong with sleeping around? I don’t want you to marry me. I’m meant to be a playboy. I don’t care about male virtues… What? You want to drown me in a pig cage? Marry, I’ll marry!
Day N: Meng Huan inexplicably vomits and receives the shocking news of his life… He’s pregnant.

Apu Chapter 30Count is a disappointment. I don’t doubt his life was tough too- but he should be more clever than this…seriously. Roba would be fine on her own already, starting from the bottom. If she just removed the name Roar and start anew she would still find success. Yet they are thrown in this gamble. Count you have never done her a favor, like look at the way she has to live. Slapped first thing in the morning- by your daughter you raised FROM BIRTH, maybe you don’t have talent in raising children.

Apu Chapter 31I’m honestly confused. The count should have stepped in before the academy exam. If Roba got in her future would have been set outside of Roar. If he knew how she was treated, he should have stopped the countess. Not just waiting for to be of age and fend for herself. And why is the countess acting like that? Was she threatened by the count or smth? Too lil too late count. The ML is clever but he still is mad at Roba?? She obviously didn’t have the circumstances to say no. And yeah don’t call the count”father”- that one time mistake.

Apu
I wonder if the count knows how clever Roba truly is. Did he know she failed the exam on purpose and was influenced by the countess. He doesn’t seem shocked at all by how the countess speaks and thinks of Roba. How disappointing her guardians are. They call Misha dumb and know she lowers their reputation, yet still don’t want her to be involved with the politics of it all and continue to give her a chance at the academy. While they use Roba as a pawn to fulfill the request, surely putting her in danger- but they do it in order to protect “Roar”- yeah whatever, count this might just be my last straw! But great work author 🙂
