His words, nearly a threat, slipped out in an astonishingly gentle tone. Felix, who had been hiding his face against Ibelia’s nape, flinched instantly.

Felix hurriedly scrambled his short legs, terrified of being caught by Liurian. Sliding down the hem of Ibelia’s dress to the floor, he only turned to look at the two of them once he’d secured a safe distance.
