“You’d best rest here for now.”

Liurian seated Ibelia in the place prepared for the Crown Princess and gave her a look filled with concern.

Ibelia immediately shook her head and said,

“No, I can stay with Your Highness a while longer.”

“Isn’t your foot uncomfortable because of your shoes?”

Liurian asked, furrowing his brow—a sharp observation she hadn’t expected at all.

Ibelia couldn’t utter a single word in reply.

It was true. Her feet had been bothering her for quite some time. The shoes, chosen to match her dress, were the culprit.

“You kept gripping my arm tightly every so often. I figured your feet must have been bothering you each time.”

Ibelia blinked rapidly without a word. Had she really done that? She couldn’t quite recall. Even if she had, it was still astonishing.
