Rellia spoke nervously, her voice tinged with moisture, as though she would break into tears any moment.
She would have found it pitiable before, but Eustia no longer found Rellia endearing.
Whether this sentiment would end today or continue in the future was uncertain. However, what was certain was that she didn’t want to forgive Rellia, who had significantly interfered between Liurian and her.
“Lucky you’re thinking like that now. By the way, what brings you to me today?”
“…I just wanted to see you, Your Majesty. There was no other reason.”

At the continued sarcasm, Rellia finally shed tears. Yet, Eustia’s gaze did not change.

Rellia felt hesitant even to breathe. She couldn’t comprehend why the empress, who was always on her side, was acting like this now.
She was already on the verge of going insane due to the recently changed Liurian. Why is the empress also acting like this toward me?
The panic that had frozen her heart began to hasten. Without her conscious will, her lips moved.

It was only after a long while that she heard the Empress’s awaited voice.

“That is enough.”
Eustia spoke decisively. The one consolation was that the cold atmosphere had somewhat dissipated.
Rellia slowly lifted her head. Then Eustia looked at her with a somewhat softened expression.
“Going forward, it would be best if you do not interfere in any matter concerning Liurian.”
“If you call it interference…”
The tone of Rellia’s voice hardened. Because of that, she couldn’t keep the corners of her mouth from tightening.
She had to act as if she was receptive, no matter what the Empress meant.
“Your Highness, Liurian is the only crown prince of the Empire. Everything he chooses and decides always has a reason. Even if that means Liurian choosing a crown princess. Do you intend to be an obstacle in Liurian’s way?”
“…Your words are absolutely correct, Your Majesty. I will be careful and mindful not to repeat such mistakes.”
Rellia replied almost automatically. Even then, she ground her teeth.
In the end, it was Evelia again. The damned imperial crown princess. It was clear that she had played some trick to bring her down.
