“The wind has been gentle all the way here. It’s the kind of wind you’d like. Taking a leisurely walk while facing the wind would surely improve your mood.”

So let’s leave each other’s embrace and go out to the garden together.

Even without a single provocative expression, it was irresistibly tempting. Evelia could no longer resist when he did so much.

She looked at him, releasing the tension from her arms that she thought would never let go.

“Instead of letting go, hold my hand. I want to.”

Normally, she would have never been the first to say this. But strangely, today, courage she didn’t know existed within her bubbled up.

Today seemed like the day it could happen. No, it felt like it had to happen. She shouldn’t withhold what she wanted to say to him.

Just then, he extended his hand toward her with a cheerful expression.

“Of course.”

Ignoring the thumping of her anxious heart, Evelia smiled brightly and grasped his hand.

A refreshing wind blew in. It was a warm wind, like her.

Kaliph deeply inhaled as he re-adjusted his grip on Evelia’s hand. Her subtle scent mingled with the wind and circled around the tip of his nose. Just that made his heart race and gave him goosebumps.

“The wind is really good, just like you said, Your Highness.”

Her soft voice, tinged with laughter, seemed to tickle near his stiff nape. Was that why? Kaliph felt as if his throat was burning.

“Yes. I thought you’d like it.”

“Is the reason simply ‘just because’ this time too? Do you just have a feeling I’d like it?”

Evelia teasingly asked. Kaliph briefly narrowed his eyes as he looked at her. He did not readily understand what she meant.

“Last time when you gave me the cherry blossom branch, you said it was just a feeling you had that I would like it.”

Even without him asking what she meant, Evelia added more. As if reading his thoughts was no challenge at all.
Caliph chuckled softly, not displeased with her quick-witted actions. Then, he put the words that came to mind into his mouth.

“Who could hate this weather? Just stand still and take it, and your mood will naturally improve. Hard not to like it.”

His response was rather bland, considering the anticipation in her eyes. Predictably, she scrunched up her nose.

“I would have preferred a more neutral answer.”

“Ah, I must be tactless.”

Though his tone conveyed some regret, not a trace of genuine mistake could be found in his demeanor. Evelia pouted her lips in a teasing manner, but he only responded with a calm smile.

“How’s the wound from that day? Are you alright?”

Suddenly, he ran his thumb along the bandaged wrist of Evelia. Her heart tickled so much she could hardly bear it.

“Ah, it’s fine. Just a slight scrape. Doesn’t hurt much.”

Evelia twisted her arm back and hid her wrist. Though the wound existed, it wasn’t that painful. Despite her repeated assurances, the awkward situation made it impossible to do anything but leave the bandage as it was.

“I’m sorry. You got hurt because of me.”

Unexpectedly, an unanticipated apology followed. Rounded eyes turned towards him. Reflected above those fresh green irises was his face, bearing a regretful expression.

What was this? Evelia had to take a deep breath. Her heart pounded so intensely, the drumming sound seemed to make even her ears go deaf.

Only after taking several deep breaths could she barely manage to wet her lips.

“……It’s okay. It really doesn’t hurt much.”

A fleeting, wistful smile hung at the corners of her mouth as she responded. The fact that he was worrying about her so warmly was an unprecedented situation.

So she should only feel about to burst with happiness…… but Evelia couldn’t be entirely happy.

Something didn’t feel right. Standing side by side with him, feeling the cozy wind and hearing his tender voice worrying about her, her heart somehow started to ache.

Unfortunately, Evelia felt like she knew all too well what that meant.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
