SSS-Class Hunter Goes On Vacation (4 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 25

Yeon Ju, already knowing what the vote was for when Daphne asked her to post an announcement, let out a long sigh and leaned back against the chair.

“Sigh… So in the end, we’re going.”

She then clasped her hands together, placed them on her stomach, and stayed frozen in that position for a long while before slowly turning her gaze to the right.

On the auxiliary screen beside her was a list of all the information gathered so far about the religious group ‘Messiah’.

At first, the claim from ‘Messiah’ that they were after the ‘Laurel Crown’ had sounded plausible enough, but it had honestly seemed pointless to pay attention to the noisy ravings of yet another cult chasing after money.

That was precisely why she hadn’t even mentioned it to Daphne.

That number was arguably comparable to the total count of high-tier Hunters maintained by an entire nation.

It was only natural for religions to flourish during hard times, but…

The more Yeon Ju thought about ‘Messiah,’ the more inconsistencies she noticed.

How could a mere cult attract so many Hunters?

“If they’d gathered everyone together to declare war, that’d at least make some sense… But do they really all believe in this nonsense about eternal life?”

According to the scammer Seung Hwan had caught, ‘Messiah’s’ leadership claimed to demonstrate “otherworldly power.”
