Spent the First Night with the Male Lead, Thinking I Was Terminal (10 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 7
The moment he stepped out of the carriage, Admon quietly took Clea’s hand and headed straight for the bedroom.
Clea noticed that reason had vanished from the corners of Admon’s eyes.
For the first time since their night together, she felt something resembling amusement.
‘So the pure Crown Prince is finally falling into corruption.’
Admon.
Despite his outward appearance, he truly was an innocent man.
If there existed a man utterly ignorant of pleasure and revelry, it could only be him.
But Clea quickly shook her head.
It wasn’t ignorance—it was restraint.
And Clea found herself intrigued by the fact that she was completely shattering his patience.
“Your Highness!”
Obern called out to him from behind.
Clea turned around and met Obern’s gaze.
He acted as if trying desperately to hold Admon back,
while not forgetting to load his stare toward Clea with unmistakable disgust.
Anyone else would have wet themselves under Obern’s glare, yet Clea only smiled more sweetly.
She silently mouthed,
‘Scowling like that isn’t frightening at all. Why not try smiling instead?’
Smile? Smile, she said.
How could anyone possibly smile in such a dreadful situation?
If it weren’t for Admon standing right there, Obern would have shouted those very words at Clea.
But he dared not provoke Admon.
He had expected to receive praise from him today of all days, yet instead endured harsh rebukes for having sent Clea Odoi away on his own accord.
He wasn’t so ignorant as to fail to understand why Admon was behaving this way.
Moreover, raising his voice against his sovereign was unbecoming of a servant.
Meanwhile, Clea completely ignored Obern and turned her eyes back to Admon.
Their gazes met, and Admon looked down at Clea before speaking.
“If we carry on like this, your honor will plummet. Don’t you care about that?”
A final, concerned question.
She had been certain he’d severed every last thread of reason—
yet realizing there might still be some left, Clea gently corrected him.
“It’s not ‘you’—it’s ‘Clea.’”
“Is that really important right now…?”
“Clea.”
Since she’d abandoned the name Odoi, the only name by which to call her was Clea.
Recalling what had happened on the bridge, Admon paused briefly before replying.
“Clea.”
Hearing him call her by name lifted Clea’s spirits.
Anyone else would have scoffed and shown clear displeasure, yet he stood there flustered like a shy adolescent boy.
Clea found this man delightful—merely watching him brought her quiet joy.
Though she told herself their relationship was nothing more than mutual amusement, she couldn’t deny the pleasantness of it.
Not knowing how much longer she had to live, she ignored the mark on the back of her hand and curled her lips into a smile.
“What use is honor? What matters to me is right now.”
With those words, Clea linked her arm through Admon’s.
Startled, Admon instinctively tried to pull away—but Clea held on tighter, refusing to let go.
Admon’s body stiffened.
Finding his reaction utterly endearing, Clea reached out and lightly brushed the hair near his ear.
It was an audacious act—daring to touch the Crown Prince’s person so casually. No one else in the empire would ever dare such boldness.
But for her, who awaited death, such trivialities meant nothing.
“I’m far more curious about you than about things like honor.”

She was growing interested in Admon—what kind of being he was, what sort of person, what he liked.
Clea wondered: in the novel, why had Clea fallen for someone like Lloyd instead of Admon?
‘If she’d clung to Admon instead, perhaps she wouldn’t have suffered such misfortune.’
He truly was pure.
The kind of man who, once married, wouldn’t even glance at another woman.
Honest, upright, yet not someone easily swayed by others.
Yet Clea thought—
even he would be different if that “other woman” happened to be Aria.
‘Because Aria is beloved by everyone in this world.’
The thought left a bitter taste in her mouth, but aware of his presence, she painted on a smile.
Yet that faint expression wasn’t enough to deceive Admon.
Ever attentive to others’ expressions, he noticed and called her name.
“Clea. I’m curious too.”
“Curious about what?”
“What you’re thinking, with me standing right before you.”
Admon pulled Clea’s arm closer to himself.
Startled by how tightly she was now pressed against him, Clea’s eyes widened—then she scoffed softly and placed her hand on his cheek.
From that moment on, Clea’s gaze stayed fixed on Admon.
“Are you frightened I might be thinking of Lloyd?”
“And if I were?”
“Oh dear. We’re hardly anything to each other, are we?”
“That’s true—for now, at least.”
Finding his defiant reply oddly charming, Clea dismissed her earlier thoughts entirely.
After all, once she was gone, the rest would be Aria Herscher’s affair.
Besides, even if he chose to leave anytime, she had no reason to hold him back.
What did it matter if they’d only spent a day—or merely a few nights—together?
With that thought, she quickened her steps.
‘Yes, it’s fine to enjoy myself for now. In the end, everything about him will belong to her anyway.’
Thus thinking, the two entered the room and faced the burning night ahead.
Previously, their first night together had been clouded by drunkenness—but this time, fully sober, they met their first true wedding night.
[This is the timeline separator]Exhausted yet unable to sleep, Admon lay wide awake.
Clea, perhaps from having been in the cold too long, slipped quickly into slumber after pulling away from him.
Admon too wished to sleep beside her,
but the memory of her vanishing while he slept kept him from doing so.
He clung desperately to wakefulness, even as he reveled in the lingering warmth she’d left behind.
“At this rate, my neck won’t survive.”
After moving from the bedroom to his study, he grimaced at the pain in his neck.
That woman, who seemed indifferent to everything on the surface, transformed in bed—her eyes flashing like someone else entirely.
The way she bit into his neck was like a ferocious beast.
Admon could have easily pushed Clea away.
Even the slightest nudge would have made her fall back effortlessly.
Yet he chose not to.
It was the first time he’d ever felt his self-control slip this far.
Fascinated by this unfamiliar sensation, he also grew intrigued by Clea herself.
‘A woman who holds no ulterior motives, even when standing before me.’
The Crown Prince, whose ascension to Emperor was already assured.
People always looked at him with thoughts and emotions layered in their gazes—
hostility, goodwill, anger, joy, resentment.
All manner of feelings.

Some approached him to forge favorable ties; others harbored enmity to keep him in check.
Wherever he went, those watching eyes followed him.
Having lived under such scrutiny since childhood, Admon had grown accustomed to it.
Even at the recent banquet, he’d received the usual array of stares.
But Clea was different.
‘What exactly was in her gaze when she looked at me?’
The emotion he’d read in her eyes that day was utterly unfamiliar—something he’d never encountered before.
That intrigued him deeply.
Acting somewhat impulsively, Admon approached her despite having no connection beyond the Academy.
And right there, he accepted the offer she presented without hesitation.
Looking back now, he couldn’t tell whether it had been compassion, curiosity, or desire.
“Your Highness, you must not grow close to her.”
While lost in thought about her, someone barged into his study without permission, flinging the door open.
The sudden intrusion shattered the lingering haze completely, and Admon frowned as he looked up.
“You keep making that argument.”
“This isn’t idle talk. Odoi Family members were lying in wait near that bridge. They must have been plotting something.”
“So you’re saying they knew I’d show up and waited there? Use your head.”
Admon dismissed it as absurd—how could they possibly know when he’d arrive?
Even if they’d been waiting, it would’ve been for someone else—and besides, Clea’s words hadn’t sounded like lies.
‘She said she’d abandoned the Odoi Family.’
The Clea he’d seen as a child had been timid, always seeming haunted by something,
despite holding the exalted title of princess that others admired.
Realizing he’d spoken foolishly, Obern admitted fault—but then voiced something he shouldn’t have.
“Then perhaps she was there to meet Prince Lloyd.”
Recalling the name he’d nearly forgotten, Admon’s expression darkened with displeasure.
It was deep into the night, and they stood far apart—so Obern failed to read Admon’s expression.
“I heard there was some commotion at the Odoi Ducal household, after all.”
“Obern.”
Admon called his name.
His voice carried an icy chill Obern had never heard before, making him flinch.
“I wish to be alone now.”
“My apologies for disturbing you so late—it was disrespectful. But please reconsider once more. She is…”
“Leave. Now.”
Taking the final warning to heart, Obern withdrew from the study.
Alone again, Admon thought of one person.
Lloyd Persy.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

I wonder if subconciously he knows that she is sick.
Its quite weird that his aide calls her a close friend when its quite clear that Admon barely registers her presence 🤣
