The hammer Baek Yi-hyeon gave me was neither large nor heavy. It would be ineffective against skeletons unless they had transformed from the dead.

“……Don’t just ask for help, run away yourselves. And… those people are already dead.”

Though no one was likely to listen, I still voiced it out.

I have to do something.

The clean-up in the sky was almost done.

“Everyone, listen up! The attribute of these monsters is death. They instinctively go after living beings to harvest life. Being bitten by a zombie won’t turn you into one, so just properly manage any infection from the wounds!”

As I shouted, a few people who were just standing blankly started to move. Since zombies don’t spawn from skeletons, clearing the sky of monsters meant no more zombies would be created.

“I don’t want to die…!”

But the number of skeletons on the ground only grew. Where were they all coming from?

We couldn’t hold out like this.

If they crave life…

The wind blew. Everything came to a halt. All the deaths seeking life looked at me. A strange sensation flowed from my entire body.

“……Everyone, snap out of it and run away.”

It was my voice, yet unfamiliar.

Those who regained their senses started to flee. The monsters targeted me.

-A distasteful being dares to intrude in my territory.

A low voice echoed. The monsters, poised to pounce on me, froze.

“How dare you. Who invaded first and killed people?”

A sarcastic remark slipped out.

The scent of death intensified. Angry, maybe. I slowly raised my hand, and one of the skulls noticed the anomaly and lunged at me.

“……Shin-ah!”

Similarly, Baek Yi-hyeon, who sensed something wrong while fighting in the air, landed. The sound of metal clashing loudly rang in my ears.

“Dead should stay peacefully in the afterlife, not killing the living.”

As I reached out, the ground around me froze white. With the ground, the death also froze.

-Such a trick will only stop their movement; it won’t accomplish anything.

Amidst the low, unpleasant rumbling.

“Ha! Running all the way here was worth it! To witness a new S-rank awakening firsthand!”

Someone kicked a skull’s head and appeared.

“Hey, are you Cheoncheon’s sibling?”

A sharp-eyed man with stylish grey hair and knuckles studded with multicolored gems stood out even under the red sky.

That person is…

“Oh, you even froze them for me? How convenient! Huh? Our kid’s here too. Hey, kid!”

“……Stop calling me a kid, Guild Master.”

“Move! Cover me!”

“……Sigh.”

As the frozen skeletons shattered into pieces, I stepped back three paces to observe.

Finally, when the last skeleton dissipated into dust.

-…Wait for me at the bottom of the lake.

The distasteful, thick voice left just that sentence and disappeared.

The situation was quickly resolved. Survivors among the pile of corpses stared blankly into space.

“Ah, ah…”

“It’s okay now.”

I hurriedly attended to their burst and crushed wounds.

The complexions of the people improved gradually. Though I couldn’t restore them to a completely healthy state, it was fine for emergency treatment.

As I stood up to look for others still in bad shape, an unfamiliar voice came from behind.

“Oh, you possess a pretty valuable skill. It’s a pity. If you weren’t Cheoncheon’s sibling, I would have recruited you.”

A man, wiping the blood off his face, spoke cheerily. Before I could respond, Baek Yi-hyeon sighed and said,

“We’ve roughly cleaned up, but don’t just stand around; please help. People gathered together will attract those things again.”

As he said, black mists in the sky kept forming and dissipating.

“Our promising miss here, when did you start talking like you’re weak! I’ll leave the sky to you, kiddo. No need for cover on the ground, just run wild!”

Those two will handle their respective tasks. I hurried with the rescue.

As the rescue neared completion, the man addressed me again. He was someone I knew.

“Pleased to meet you. Are you Cheoncheon’s younger sister?”

“……Baekya Yi-ryeohyeon?”

“You know me?”

Baekya, Yi-ryeohyeon, smiled broadly, revealing his white teeth.

Male lead reborn without memories — but he still falls for her.

The person he finds displeasing in this life turns out to be his cherished wife-master in previous life…

Xie Zhi and Fang Xianxing who had known each other for less than three days through a blind date sat in the same car in front of the civil affairs bureau. They had a disagreement and failed to get married.

Xie Zhi immediately took out his phone, slid through his contacts, and randomly selected the next marriage candidate.

The woman snatched his phone and hung up. Looking at his phone wallpaper, she awkwardly changed the subject: “An ancient painting, eh? It looks pretty good, it’s just that the person in the painting looks a bit like me.”

When he heard this, he sarcastically mocked her for being so delusional, completely unaware that, the person in front of him was the reincarnation of Wen Ru, the famous prime minister of Yuan Shun whom he most admired…

The female CEO who doesn’t want to get married with a divorce agreement in hand × The male archaeological researcher who will only get married if he’s sure he can get divorced
