There was an article about Cheon Shin-woo’s sister.
Cheon Shin-woo, fitting for South Korea’s ranking number one, was highly recognized. Not just recognized, but also popular, harboring grudges in various places, and good at drawing attention.
There was one never-ending story about him – the story of ‘Cheon Shin-woo’s sister.’
Since the day of his awakening, Cheon Shin-woo, who had been slicing through monsters, had one Achilles’ heel – his sister.
So much so that even the Association’s president was still grinding his teeth. A kid not yet in high school came every day to demand that her brother be found.
Cheon Shin-woo’s relentless search for his sister abruptly stopped at one point. As if nothing had ever happened, or as if the matter of his sister was taboo.
There were rumors that he had finally realized his sister was dead and gave up. The incident where someone who bravely asked him about it almost ended up decapitated… was somewhat famous.
Looking back, it seems Cheon Shin-woo already knew about me at that time.
In summary, as famous as Cheon Shin-woo was, so was the fact that his weakness was his sister.
And that sister was me.
“Where on earth did this information leak from…”
I was going crazy.
Due to Cheon Shin-woo’s accumulated karma and the fear of living this way in the future, I was frustrated.
Min Yoo-shin ran around trying to handle the situation on his own. He told me to keep the glasses he had given me earlier for any unforeseen situations.
Naturally, the internet was abuzz. Thanks to that, it wasn’t hard to find the source of the initial information about Cheon Shin-woo’s sister.
“This is insane…”
The source was ‘Military God Kali.’
To summarize the situation:
After returning to his homeland, Kali gave an interview.
He vaguely answered the reporters’ questions about where he had been and what he had done. Then he made a slip of the tongue.
He said, ‘Cheon Shin-woo’s sister… Oops. I met South Korea’s ranking number one.’
It was a vague statement open to interpretation. At first, it was buried.
But then someone posted that buried article on social media.
The post, boasting an enormous number of shares, proudly made its way to ‘real-time trends’ and quickly transformed into an article.
The speculative article led to another rumor – Cheon Shin-woo’s love affair.
“How can this even be possible…”
Articles linking Cheon Shin-woo to a supposed lover began circulating, leading to speculation that this person might not actually be Cheon Shin-woo’s sister. And now, this speculation is being treated as if it were a fact.
It is true, but… it’s like catching a mouse by walking backward. How did the information spread like this?
[(Anonymous): But didn’t someone say that person works at ㅊㄹ? Is Shin-woo now fixated on his sister at ㅊㄹ?(Anonymous1): Lol, isn’t ㅊㄹ known for hiring only awakeners, even for administrative positions? I heard from a friend that there’s only one unawakened person there;; Could it be?]
“Wow, this is crazy…”
Swearing came out naturally. They have good deductive skills. More importantly, how is my information being accessed like this? Privacy protection is urgently needed.
As Cheon Lang got involved in the discussion, the problem spread uncontrollably, especially since Cheon Shin-woo was not around.
Without the final decision-maker, the sub-guild master (*sub-guild master) has to handle things, but Cheon Lang operates under a one-top system with Cheon Shin-woo.
It was odd that an executive meeting was called. This was more of an issue for Cheon Shin-woo personally rather than for Cheon Lang.
This left both Min Yoo-shin, who became busy, and me, increasingly troubled, right in the middle of the situation.
“We have to release a statement, but we can’t just issue a rebuttal… Sigh. Of all times, Shin-woo is away. Are you okay, Shin-a?”
“I’m fine.”
I was surprisingly okay. Maybe it’s because of that previous report labeling us as lovers or something. Thinking about it, that article was really creepy.
“Now they’re trying to circulate information about your personal details… It should be handled without major issues. Once it’s sorted out…”
“Really, don’t worry about me.”
“……I’m sorry.”
“Hmm. It’s not something you should apologize for, Secretary.”
Technically, Kali, who failed to manage his words, was the main problem. I comforted him while sipping coffee.
Who would have thought it would come to this? Maybe I should contact the Association. Just then…
“……What?”
I heard a perplexed voice from Min Yoo-shin.
“What…?”
He was staring into space, possibly looking at a system window?
“What’s going on?”
“That… Shin-a, listen without getting shocked.”
“Okay.”
As I casually thought about asking where the coffee shop was for a future visit, shocking news hit me.
“……The sub-guild master is you.”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
