Sister, I'm the Queen This Life (330 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 99
Prince Alfonso learned that the deceased mentioned in the obituary sent by Cardinal de Mare was not Ariadne but her younger sister Arabella when he had traveled about one-third of the way from Taranto to San Carlo.
He met a friar at a post station attached to a monastery who formally delivered the obituary of the funeral.
“Under His Eminence Cardinal Simon de Mare, Lady Arabella de Mare departed on a distant journey under the guidance of the Heavenly Deity in the afternoon of February 1, 1123. We respectfully inform you.
Wake: Residence of Cardinal de Mare
Memorial Mass: Dawn of February 15, 1123, San Ercole Cathedral, Benedetto Hall.”
‘Arabella, Arabella de Mare.’
Alfonso scanned the name of the deceased written on the obituary two, three times with his eyes, wondering if he had perhaps misread it.
“Brother, is this the obituary of someone you know?”
When Prince Alfonso could not tear his eyes away from the obituary for a long while, the friar who had shown him the parchment carefully asked. Alfonso clutched his trembling hand and returned the obituary to the friar.
“No, it is not.”
He did not voice aloud words like “I am truly relieved it was someone else who died,” but inside, Alfonso was offering thanks to the Heavenly Deity. And he blamed himself for his selfishness.
“If we hurry, we may still pay our diocese’s respects to the deceased at the wake before the memorial mass.”
The friar looked up at the winter sky where snow and rain swirled together and murmured worriedly. The friar had set out from the southern diocese of Salvitele to express condolences to the central diocese of San Carlo.
“Where are you headed, brother? Taranto?”
Since he had confirmed it was not Ariadne’s obituary, Prince Alfonso should rightfully return to Taranto now.

The demon lord’s eyes were red with fury:
“This is all your doing! Today, I won’t rest until I kill you!”
Yu Wu rubbed her temples. Putting aside the taboo against bloodshed during pregnancy, wasn’t it this very man who willingly walked into her trap that day?!
