There’s too much studying to do.

Liena Terrabita murmured as she placed the textbook she had just finished next to the new one she was about to begin.

The girl’s long, wavy hair had grown down to her waist, and her skin, once slightly tanned from the sun, had recently become paler.

Peace had settled over Artenbach Land for about three years.

Now fourteen, Liena was carefully pondering a once-in-a-lifetime rebellion.

“You’re not the only one with a lot?”

Lambemon Terrabita remarked, watching Liena—who had long since outgrown her childish appearance. The twin sister who no longer slept in the same bed and never came to his room in her nightgown anymore.

It felt like just yesterday they had lain together on the grass, faces smudged with dirt, napping under the midday sun. Yet suddenly, both boy and girl had grown up.

“So I’ve been thinking about it.”

“What are you planning?”

Lambemon watched his sister with an unreadable gaze, suspecting some devious scheme.

“I’m going to tell Big Brother I’m quitting studying.”

“He’ll be happy to hear that.”

Lambemon stroked the textbook with his hand and continued.

“They say even we hardly study at all. And isn’t Lieta older than you, and she studies way more?”
