He’d excused himself earlier, citing urgent matters—why had he suddenly shown up? Their bewilderment lasted only a moment before they saw him stride straight toward Rodric Schwarz.

Rodric, though easily able to dodge, stood still and took the blow.
The force was so great that he was instantly thrown backward along with his chair. Frowning, Rodric looked up at Devir Beatus.

Devir is the best big brother. Rodric needs to learn from him how to be a good brother to Ophelia. I’m still salty about how she was treated and things were never really resolved to my liking.
